No matter what I do, I always tend to get a slight 'front sight wander' with the 44 while aiming...and it shoots a little high (that known issue with the front sight)...I just aim a little lower and still manage to get somewhat decent groupings...Glock is sending me a taller front sight for it...but the other day...
I also took my new 19.3 ODGreen along for the range trip, and after a session with the 44, was surprised to see how rock-solid steady the front sight was on the 19 while aiming...the groups were super tight at the same distance...POI was right there at the top of the front sight, every time.
I have to think it was due to the heavier weight of the 19, there was no jumping around/wandering at all, the sight on the 19 was just dead on and stayed right there all the way through the trigger pull...unlike the 44...which makes me wonder if it was made TOO light for dependable, repeatable accuracy...I think in the quest for ultralightweight guns, we make sacrifices in accuracy and recoil dampening.
