Thinking about a Glock 45 again....30SF vs 21SF. Help me out.
Accuracy and reliability between them?

I know which one is more concealable so its really coming down to reliability and accuracy for me.

I remember the whole trigger bar thing with the 30SF.

Can Anyone tell me if all the issues are fixed as of now with the 30SF.

Thanks...

Both are belt guns. They both require a holster. I have a 21SF and think highly of it. That being said, I have more than once considered getting a 30SF, but will probably just stick with my G19s for a smaller CC gun.

The G30 is amazingly accurate and easy to shoot. So accurate, IMO, that I'm not sure you'd see much, if any, better accuracy with the G21. I have a G21SF and it is a great gun. But I've shot the G30 extensively and I've decided I may have to get one.

I have to agree, i have the 21sf and 21standard but no experience with the 30 or 30sf. I can shoot my 21's as well any of my .45's and have large hands
but may look into a 30 one day.

The G30 is pretty consistently characterized as the "most accurate Glock"...
However unless you have a size limitation I like the G21. Greater sight radius, (I am seriously loving my new G34) and I just like that big 'ol sucka. It's on my "to do list". Someone with more experience on the platform might know more about relative velocities vs barrel length.

If you want to CCW roll the G36 anyways... :whistling:

You prob. can't go wrong either way. I chose the G21SF and affectionately call it my "BIG DOG"

My main dislike of my old 30sf was the fact that, in my hands, it pointed differently than any other Glock.

I very much prefer the traditional Glock grip angle and when you shorten the grip (G30) and then cut down the butt (G30sf), you wind up with a grip angle closer to a 1911 than a Glock. The 21sf seems to almost match the original G17 so it doesn't give me this perception.

I have both the 21SF and 30SF. I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull.

My 21SF is my bedside buddy that will let me hold off any BG until I can get to my real HD gun - a 12 ga pump. It accompanies me to the woods in the winter in an OWB holster. My 30SF is my carry gun in warmer weather and when it has to stay in the truck.

If I had to pick only one, it would be the 30SF, but you can't go wrong with either. I love them both. They are just like a couple of my kids - I love them equally, but they are just a little different in personality.

Best of luck on your choice.

I would recommend the G30sf! Then get the G21sf later!!! The G21sf will be my next Glock!

I actually had my G30 CCW gun and my G21SF at the outdoor range yesterday.

They are both great guns with different applications. I carry the G30 in an OWB holster and it carries very well and conceals easily under a shirt. It is accurate and a pleasure to shoot.
The G21SF is large and very comfortable to shoot. I shoot it in competition and have never tried to CCW with it.

What you want to do with the gun is probably the deciding factor.

I have shot my brother's G21, but have not shot a G21SF. Honestly, I could not shoot the G21 well. I have a few 1911's that I have shot a lot for over 20 yrs and shoot very well. I just bought a G30SF a month ago and right out of the box I could shoot it better than any of my 1911's. I still can't hardly believe it.

What's this "trigger bar thing" you speak of?
If memory serves correctly, there was a problem with pistols made around 2008-2009 according to one of the earlier post with the slide rubbing the trigger bar causing a FTGB(failure to go into battery). From my recollection, I believe it was solved with a part number with -1- at the end of it shown on the trigger bar.
