Thanks for posting this.

I'm updating my collection and have been eyeballing the 10 mm XDM's.

I'm not so concerned about the sights co-witnessing. If the red dot goes down I can still make hits with the front sight under 10 yards. And I think the tall sights may be a challenge for holster's, especially in regards to the 10mm XDM series.

I just installed a Holosun 407c green dot on an optic ready CZ-P10-c which has the standard sized sights and I won't bother with the tall sights, it's a non issue for me.

Nice to have more 10mm options!

I like the Glock 20 better than the XDM for a number of reasons but I don't like G29 because in spite of the shorter barrel and slide it's too thick and chunky to be a true compact., and this new XDM "Compact" looks to be the same size as a G29. I also like a longer barrel to get the most out of the 10 mm cartridge an the 5 inch barreled 10mm XDM would be the one I'd want.

I asked Springfield if they'd "customize" an 4.5" OSP so the sights and barrel would be like this new model. Nope. I'll have to get the standard 4.5" XD-M and have the slide cut for a red dot or go with the 4.5" OSP.

I'd like to have all three lengths, this new compact and mid-size for carry and the 5.25" for the range, with green/red dots on all.

Well, on the video it seems to be a very snappy shooter , which is very understandable given the caliber , so, thanks , but not thanks , I will stay with my trusty , accurate and very comfortable to shoot G-30SF .
For the red dot on top of the slide , which is a latest trend now , to me , frankly , is a cool thing for the action movies and , realistically , good only for the range in my humble opinion .
I carry concealed and I can`t imagine myself wearing a pistol with a red dot ... I guess someone may be able do it , but I don`t think I can .
BTW, I also carry my XDM 3.8" compact 9mm , which is thinner and perfect for carry conceal .

There are some on Gunbroker. One seller. However states that the red dot is not included?? Price is $650. I'll pass. I've got my polymer 10mm's rounded out (Glocks). Maybe if price goes down or on hte used market. We'll see.

What ammo did he use to demo this XDM compact?

Real 10mm ammo? Or the 40-level junk?

Any 10mm pistol can be made to look good shooting the watered-down '10mm poser' ammo.

Nice! (y)

How's it shoot? And what ammo did you use?
