Hello sir. Price aside, imo the reserve looks much nicer than the legion, atleast in pics. I looked it up on Google and a few places are selling it for between 2100 to 2400. I concur, the price tag is very high just for the aesthetics with zero improvements to the internal mechanisms. You could buy two legion sao for that price. You are well into proper 2011 like the staccato for 2800. I really like my legion 226. But 2800 is just nuts. It's only a sig.
So it looks like with the adjustable rear sight and the coating costs about 1400. Oh my bad and the grip panels. It all makes sense now.I'm a Sig fan and I really like the 226 and 229 lines. This one isn't worth the price of admission. Hard to beat the Legion LE 226/229 models. This model looks damn good but where is the work on the internals for $2800??
I'll disagree with you there. You take a base model 226 vs a Glock and the 226 will outshoot a gen 5 Glock in my hands. If you consider say my 220 in 45 ACP it shoots better for me then a buddies g21.3 as well. I like the extended beaver tail of the legion line. If you consider a sao version of the 226 or 229 variety id put that trigger against some production 2011 offerings. Yes it's that crisp and light.Sig gonna keep polishing a turd?
The 226 isn't a turd, but no amount of tweaking and stylizing would make me spend over 2K on one either.Sig gonna keep polishing a turd?

I will also disagree with you here. The P226 is not a turd. It is a wonderful handgun with its share of flaws from MY perspective. As @rustygun correctly pointed, the bore axis is higher but your eyes and trigger finger will get used to it with ample practice. I recently shifted to a 19x from a P226, but the 226 will always have my respect.Sig gonna keep polishing a turd?

The only thing that takes a minute is the higher bore axis of a 226. Give it 500 rounds though and anticipating the recoil becomes easy and it's go fast time.

I generally disagreed with his assessment of the X5 as mine is shooting straight lazer beams at distance but the man is the one I trust the most for gun "reviews" and I literally laughed out loud when he dropped that video title on YT.
My apologies, I hadn’t had my coffee yet. No, the P226 is a GREAT gun! For some reason, I thought this was about the P320. My mistake.I will also disagree with you here. The P226 is not a turd. Now coming to the SIG reserve. I am only critical of it from the 'value of money' perspective. A 2800 dollars handgun with only improvements in the aesthetics is not justified.
All is forgiven. My apologies, I hadn’t had my coffee yet. No, the P226 is a GREAT gun! For some reason, I thought this was about the P320. My mistake.
Pretty hilariousSig gonna keep polishing a turd?
Did you get a chance to shoot it ?The P226 X-Five Reserve is very nice and the finish is amazing in person. I have one set aside at my LGS, but I have a couple others to focus on first.

I hear you, JoeMeh, I kind find better ways to spend $2800, but that’s just my opinion. I’m sure it’s a fine a pistol, but I would rather have a staccato for that money.
