Mobil 1 20 w 50 oil has worked for me for years..

Super lube full synthetic oil seems ok as well but is very very light. If your going to shoot 400 or more rounds i prefer a more heavy oil..

Glocks dont really need much oil at all.. and as long as they are clean i think almost any household furnace or motor or car oil works fine in them. There are many great oils for guns.. in a pinch at the range someone will bring a dry dry gun and i have always had no problem pulling the dipstick from my car a few times.. so this is not rocket science.

I like the 20 50 mobil one as its full synthetic and stays put well and still works fine at minus 20 degrees.. which i have done several times.. not fun, but the guns work great.

For shotguns i use grease on an over under hinge.. but have used hornady one shot cleaner and lube for general use.. its excellent and easily found at midway or most shooting websites.. it leaves a great film to protect the parts and barrel between sporting clays sessions..

People always say this or that “works” for them, but what does that actually mean? It seems pretty much anything will work on a Glock. I’m not sure what extreme conditions a civilian would be exposing their guns to where some kind of high-tech protectant/lubricant is needed. Isn’t a Glock supposed to get only a few drops of lubricant per the manual and will run and stay rust free when pretty much dry? A lot of that stuff is pretty nasty despite being labeled “non-toxic” by the manufacturer, not to mention expensive.

Dont know if you read my post about glocks n oil but yes i would agree with you that darn near any kind of oil would be fine for a glock. Glocks need almost no lube and the rail to slide fit is sooo loose that any oil at all seems to work. I am guessing a tiny spray of silicone spay would keep a glock running just fine..

"Lube Wars" is the "Caliber War's" special needs cousin. I use generic white lithium on metal parts that move and a thin coat of "I don't give **** what it is" for everything else and then wipe 99% of that off, usually it's CLP.
