Taurus RPC

Taurus is working on a new PCC. It looks good so far from what I see. I'm not a PCC guy, but I wouldn't mind one of these as a truck gun. I wouldn't be surprised if Taurus releases one in 45acp and 10mm too.

Taurus Armas SA is also preparing to launch a revolutionary submachine gun called RPC ( Raging Pistol Carbine ).

As the company previously reported, the RPC will be the most compact and lightest submachine gun in its category, weighing less than 2.5 kg and - in another world first for Taurus - it will have no screws.....

According to renowned Brazilian expert Paulo Bedran and confirmed by company sources, the preparation system adopted is direct delayed recoil, using a roller solution ( roller delayed blowback ).

This is a mechanism similar to that used in the HK MP5. In the German weapon, this ingenious mechanism is responsible for much of its success and, from a technical point of view, sets the MP5 apart from most other submachine guns, which, as a rule, adopt the simple direct blowback system.

The roller system regulates the opening of the chamber and, consequently, the movement of the bolt assembly. This has a positive and significant impact on the perception of recoil, improving the controllability of the assembly.

the roller delayed blowback is not an outdated concept, quite the opposite. Its current lack of popularity is related to cost, given that it requires a device with greater mechanical complexity.
