Anyone have pics comparing the two blacks on a G43? I could also use some general reviews on them. I think I'll probably stay with the +1 extension as they appear to be more reliable than the +2.

I have a +2 in the gloss black. Came with the + spring. I have put about 200+ rounds through that mag with the extension, and it has worked 100% of the time for me with all types of ammo.

I don't have both to compare, but if I had to do it again I would go with the matte black. The gloss black looks a little goofy to me since the G43 doesn't really have a gloss black frame or slide.

Did your +2 come with the +10% springs?
Yes, they did. My tests were fairly recent. I am convinced the G43 has a fairly wide range spec when it comes to the frame/TMH and where the ejector sits on the top round. Mine presses very heavily on the top round, putting significant pressure to cant the top round (nose to left). I have seen pictures of others' G43 where the ejector doesn't touch the top round at all. I am convinced those that have a wide range of choices in + magazines are guns with better setup on the ejector.

I find the matte black to match the glock frame better. Matte black looks like nice AR15 anodizing... gloss black looks just like a black car or something. No info on the 43 +2 but all of the 9mm +6s I have used have been 100% through several thousand rounds.

Gloss Black (not my pic... sorry)

Not related to the color of extensions, but... I've tried the Pearce +1 extensions on the 43 (stock springs). Run great with round nose range ammo, jams every.single.time on the last round with Federal HST (not +p).

Have had a similar experience with the ETS 7 round mag.

My advice: any mag mods or after-market mags are for range only use. The engineers at GLOCK would put out +whatever options themselves if they thought it was dependable.
