I ordered the Talon grips for my G-30SF on rubber black a couple of days ago , along with 3 grips strips for the Pearce mag extensions of my 3 mags so they can match .
The package will arrive in a week or so .
I am interested on opinions from owners that have them installed on their pistols , if they work ok or not and opinions about it in general about those grips and the mag strips .
Thanks

Talon rubber on my G19.3 works great and seems to last well. The right amount of improved grip with no catching on clothing for concealment.

Be very slow and careful when putting your first set on to get things lined up perfectly since they are one piece for the grip itself. A small misjudgment at first looks bigger at the end. After that, very easy to put on.

Just as an FYI- Hitchcock45 doubles up on thickness of Talons.
I’ve only used the rubber ones but one day I might like to test the composites.

The Talon pros are my favorite, have them on 2 Glocks, rubber talons on another, and that sandpaper one on my 30s. Don’t wanna IWB with those sandpaper ones
The granulates are great, but I agree, they can be very abrasive against your hide. Take some fine sandpaper and run it lightly over the surface of those grips. It takes the sharp edges off the granulate material yet remains very grippy. Your shirts and your skin will be much appreciative.

My G-30SF is mostly a carry gun , along with my 9mm XDM Compact 3.8 and my HK45C which has already Talon`s rubber grips.
The XDM doesn`t need it since the grips are very much good enough for traction .
Because I carry , the rubber type is good enough for me .
On the G-30SF I wasn`t sure if I would be comfortable with the grips , but judging for the enormous amount of people that has them installed on their Glocks , I guess I was right on ordering the grips . Anyway , I will post pics and my impression of the rubber black grips when I get them in a few days.

I have purchased and used all three Talon Grip materials for several years. The most recent being the granular (provides the maximum friction) for use on a G-30S. I have the same on a G-26. The granulate - black is my favorite.

Second would be the pro texture and lastly the rubber. As the various handgun used increase in recoil, I have found the granulate works the best to control it. Granted, the only drawback is if carried concealed the granulate finish will sometimes catch on your shirt tail (depending on the shirt material) making your weapon potentially visible ... and I suppose if it were directly up against your skin, could be somewhat abrasive, but it definitely gives the shooter the best grip control of the offered textures.

I have the same granulate material on the extended portion of the Glock mags as well. I started using the rubber, then pro and finally granulate grip material. YMMV

I have had the talon grips on my 26. I recently removed it because I really like the texture of the gen 5 guns. I realize in South Ga it wont be long until Im reminded that sweaty hands suck and I may need a little help. If that happens Ill probably run to the hardware store and grab a short piece of grip tape and just wrap a 1"x2" piece around the front of the grip

I received and installed the Talon rubber grips today .
Here is a pic of the G-30SF along with the strips on my 3 magazines
I also have a 13rd mag but it has its own X-Grip cover , so no need for the strips .
The grips add more traction , no question about it , without increasing thickness .
So, in general I am pleased with Talons , no problems at all .

Have you noticed that the "Moss Rubber" (aka FDE) colored Talons have less "stiction" than the black rubbber ones?

I'd like to increase the "tack" feel of my FDE Talons a bit. Does anyone have any suggestion to do that without ruining them? I'd like them to have the same tack feel as my black ones.

I hate the look of stick-on grips, but for self-defense function is more important than form so I have Talon Evo PROs' on both of my G43X MOS'. The (composite) PRO Grip really provides a great on grip on the narrow grip of my G43X MOS', especially since most of the grip of the Gen 5 texture was lost when GLOCK knocked-down the little triangles that make up the Gen 5 texture on the G43X/G48 lineup. Who's bright idea was that? Now if only Talon would produce the Evo PRO in plain Black rather than having the colors of a rainbow mixed-in with Black. Again, who's bright idea was that?

Something that you may not have to contend with the Talon on your G30SF is overlap at the front of the grip. Talon's instruction say to tuck any excess grip under the opposing section, but that creates a bump in the grip so after I double-checked the placement and fit on my G43X MOS' the excess was trimmed the excess off so the seams would sit flush. I know people who did the same.

I installed the Talons and following instructions, I tucked the excess under the opposite side of the grips , but after I stretched it with my fingers a few times and used my wife`s hair dryer blower a little bit while keeping stretching it , the very slightly bump is gone.
There is really no feeling of a bump at all or sensation of anything protruding when I grip the gun or even a visual side of a bump at all , just a barely discerning line`s edge ,so all is good .

I keep debating whether I should put TALON grips on some of my other Gen 3 Glocks. I have them already on my Gen 3 Glock 29.
Why did you put TALONs' on the Glocks you put them on? Was it to enhance grip and control, or was it a fashion statement? Because saying:
Is it still a thing to do these days with Gen 3's?
...Sounds like your TALONs' are more of a fashion statement than a performance enhancement. Whatever the reason(s), if you like them why not continue to install them?

Personally, I think stick-on grips look like crappy afterthoughts (because they do), but I use TALON EVO PROs' on a pair of G43X MOS'. Why do I use them when I think they look like crap? Because they work. In an attempt to eliminate any chaffing against bare skin while carrying CCW, Glock shaved the tops off the little triangles on the texturing on G43X & G48s. But that made the texture too slick.

When I bought my 2nd G43X MOS it already had a TALON EVO PRO (hybrid between the Rubber and Aggregate) on it. I hate the look, especially since EVO PROS have tiny bits of blue, green, yellow, and red mixed in. My first instinct was to remove the EVO PRO, but it's so grippy I decided to leave it on until I tried it at the range. It works so well that I bought mounted an EVO PRO on my other 43X MOS.

Due to a severe case of neuropathy, I have the Talon Granulate Grips on all my handguns! Without them, I could not hold a pistol firmly and without movement. They are essential for me!!

I have the Talon rubber grips on my 43X and love them. I had their "Pro" version on a Ruger LCP Max and didn't like those at all; after about a month of pocket carry, the grip pretty much rubbed itself smooth (all the granular part rubbed off.) I've had no issues with the rubber version...

I just want to add one small thing to the conversation about Talon RUBBER grips. The black rubber grips are great. On my FDE Glock I have Talon RUBBER Moss green, which is a great color match to FDE... BUT THE GREEN RUBBER MOSS IS NOT AS GRIPPY AS THE BLACK RUBBER.
