The G43 is the “long time coming” sibling to the G36 (GLOCK slimline).
If you’re into GLOCK reliability in the smallest, most concealable package with confidence in ample capacity (6) and into the 2 most widely accepted calibers (9mm & 45ACP) then the G43 & G36 are for you.
They are my choice for GLOCK concealed carry.

I love my 43's, it disappears in a muddy river iwb holster, its reliable and ok to shoot... I love my 19s and have a 26 I've been trying to carry more but the 43 shines in the ccw department! I currently own 2 43's they won't go anywhere but have no experience with the 43x... I will note I don't really like shooting the single stack glocks, but its a tool not a range gun!

Compared to a 43x, I think the 43 with the pinky extension mag shoots the same but conceals better. You obviously have less capacity.

I ditched my 43x because I felt the 19 sized grip would print on me so I went to the 43. I carry the 43 more than my 365xl, shield plus, and Glock 26.

It does annoy me sometimes that the gun is bigger than a lot of the new micros but carries less ammo. But look at the bright side - having less ammo on board also makes the gun a bit lighter.

I am a recent G43 owner. I am not new to Glock though. I did look at many options. I have owned a couple .380 pistols. I didn’t want another. I wanted at least a 9mm. I looked at capacities, dimensions, weights, functionality and reliability. Reliability - That’s why the 43 won out with me. It may hold less ammo than others and it may not be as sexy, hip or cool or even “tacticool” but I think it was a very good choice.
I am still getting used to the gun and I still have a couple more hundred rounds to run through it before I will carry it as a primary but my first shots with this pistol impressed me. I think it will continue to impress me.

The G43 is the smallest and most concealable Glock pistol that is still chambered in 9mm. It is very reliable in its factory 6+1 configuration, but it also works very reliably with many popular +1/+2 mag extensions. I own three working G43s and another one in the form of parts yet to be completely assembled. I have been carrying one as my EDC for the last 7 years.

Today I am carrying mine with my custom 8-rounder mags that combines the TTI+1 base pad and MagGuts+2 follower and spring inside. I have vetted these custom 8-rounder mags with my carry ammo.

As a Glock pistol, it is just as easy to maintain as any other Glocks with all the OEM and aftermarket parts readily available through various online vendors. Despite its small size, the G43 is also extremely durable like its bigger brothers in the Glock family. As a matter of fact, I fired more than 70,000 rounds through one of my G43s before I had the slide and all internal parts replaced by GLOCK, USA. I am still shooting it as my "practice gun" weekly with the original frame and the original two magazines (with MagGuts+1 in them).

If you like the GLOCK platform and if you are looking for a micro 9mm that is easy to carry, you just cannot go wrong with the G43.(y)

Love that color combo!

For the significant majority % of 2020's purchasers , the controlling factor is Round Capacity . For majority of buyers a 6 + 1 when the competition has 10 plus , is like trying to sell a 2023 model year car with a crank on the front .

( Not my opinions , but an accurate reflection of buyer behaviors. )
You'd think you could find all these outdated under capacity used G43's out there that people don't want and will sell cheap because of the 'newer' 'better' options. For some reason, no one wants to part with theirs. I wish someone would unload their G43 for a hundred or two since they are so worthless...
