Hi All,
I have a Gen 5 Glock 19. I have bought a Banish 9K Surpressor. It was supposed to be plug and play. The gun Is stock. Originally I changed out the regular barrel for a Glock Factory Threaded barrel.
I am using Federal 115 FMJ and 147 JHP.

The gun fails to Eject. With The factory guide rod. I have tried a 13lbs recoil spring. When I do this it fails to Feed.

All Advice is welcome.

Thank you.

Out of curiosity I read reviews of that Banish on Silencer Central's website. There are other people with the same problems as you're having. Since it is a sealed unit I don't think there is any way to use a spring, or Nielsen device. Banish claims no device is needed since it is so light but I disagree. That suppressor would certainly work on a fixed barrel firearm such as 9mm carbines or fixed barrel pistols such as Hi Points.

The stock spring weight is 18lbs. I think a 15 lb spring would be the sweet spot. However, I'm pretty sure if you use a piston/Neilson device it will get you cycling.

I just had a thought but don't know if it will help. If you are using a red dot or anything else attached to the slide the added weight could effect the action. I'd remove the sight and give it another try.

I've had the exact same experience with the 9k using multiple different pistols with threaded barrels (Glock 19, Springfield Echelon (full-size), Hellcat Pro). None of them would cycle 115gr, none would cycle anything subsonic, and only once I tried 147 grain was I able to get anything through the Banish 9k without a stovepipe. With the Echelon, I even tried 3 different recoil springs (13, 15 & 17).... none would cycle until using 147gr.

If you know someone who has a Rugged Obsidian 9 (comes with the Nielsen) then give it a try on your gun to eliminate something with the ammo or recoil spring. Or if you know someone with a threaded Beretta 92 (or similar) then try your suppressor on that - since the Beretta has a fixed barrel.
