I keep seeing their parts in more and more places. Prices seem ok. Just curious if any of you have some and if they hold up.

Thanks.

I'm far from an expert on topics like this, I only have one rifle and it can't be stored at my home (no freedom in my city) so it doesn't get as much use as it should. But, the strike parts I have are all of good quality in my opinion. I wouldn't say they're fancy, but I think they are nice. I only have a few things like the king comp and the extended take down/pivot pins and the extended tab charging handle. I also have a strike rail at 15.5". Everything I bought from them was on a pretty good sale before Christmas at Primary Arms (around 30% off), and the rail was a blem part so it was super cheap because it had a tiny scratch. I'm a budget builder so I cut costs where I can.

I'd buy their parts again if they were on sale. I only bought black items and I haven't had issues with the coating. I've heard bad things about their red parts and the coating coming off quickly. I don't know if that's true because I have no experience. I'm not a fan of red stuff on guns.

I think the strike switch is cool looking but I'm not spending $60 on a ambi selector that I don't need.

I have a couple of pieces from them bought on the cheap side for a budget build and bundled their items with other things to help keep shipping cost down. Their charging handle seems nice enough and the gen2 J-comp I got works well and has a decent finish on it for what it is, better than what you may expect to receive from an Asian manufacture.

I use a lot of strike parts. I like their mag catch, slide stop, grip and buffer tubes, which I've taken to using exclusively, for the most part. In the grander scheme of things, their prices are pretty good when coupled with a 10% from Optics Planet.

Where the hell do you live that you can't have your gun at your house?

Chicago, assault weapons ban prevents keeping anything like an AR in the home (in Chicago or Cook county) unless it was without a pistol grip, without a flash hider, without a handguard, had 10 rounders and was restricted in about 100 other ways. I can own it as a state resident, I just can't store it at home. Not a free city living in the middle of a partially free state (not very free). Restrictions are tough, but my employment keeps me living in the city. Handguns and many long guns are perfectly fine for keeping in the home, black rifles are generally a no-no for us common folk.

There is a use for the colorful parts...

I use black charging handles on 556. I use blue on 300blk.

Of course I also laser mark 300blk uppers conspicuously that they are 300blk.

I don't want a 300blk round going in a 556 upper.

Color coding is nice to help

So I can say the blue strike charging handles have worked just fine for me

On 556 I use BCM. On 300blk I use strike

I have their enhanced bolt catch on one of my rifles. It seems to be decent quality with a nice finish. It fit/installed with no problems

Same here.

I have the bolt catch, forward assist, and the extended takedown/pivot pins. All seem to be rock solid and fit perfectly.

So, not to get into the weeds, but this is interesting, in a sadistic kind of way...does the city have an armory for storage or is it a you gotta find a "friends safe" outside the city deal?

How does it seem to be holding up? I almost got one for a build, but thought the tension would ease on that internal spring/catch mechanism with use.

I may just have to get one to try out. I have no issues at all with the other Strike pieces that I typically use....

Well, hey, the important part is that the common sense restrictions that they have enacted in Chicago seem to be working, and generally, you are in a safe, low crime city. God bless you, and those that enact the laws that keep you safe!

You should be color coding those magazines if your concern is loading a 300BLK round into a 5.56 upper.

A little update. Working on my .300 pistol build, I got the castle nut/endplate, bolt catch, ultralight pivot/takedown pins, and Fang trigger guard. Not too sure about the Fang. The ambi safety and mag catch will be next. I think Ill be happy.
