Last January my father passed away from COVID that he contracted while he was in the hospital having surgery in December. After struggling with a terrible probate lawyer and real estate agent that was dis-interested at best in selling his condo everything is finally finished and the funds from the sale were disbursed this morning. I decided when everything was done that I would treat myself to a couple of nice pistols that I wouldn't normally buy. I bought a Sig P210A a little while ago and then put a deposit on a Staccato P, which I picked up this morning.

This is the only place within 100 miles of me that carry higher end pistols, so while I was there I wanted to check out their CZ pistols. They had a shadow 2 Orange and TSO in stock. Both were really nice and the prices on them were fair. I have read so many good things about the CZ Shadows that I had almost ordered a Orange and/or traded for Shadow 2 without ever really holding one in a shop.

Before they pulled the CZ's out though I got to check out the Sig 320 AXG Pro. The grip and trigger felt great and really loved the way it sat in my hand. I actually liked the way it felt a lot more than the 2 CZ's. I finished the purchase of the Staccato and the wife and I went to lunch. I decided that I really wanted the Sig as well so after lunch back to the store and I walked out with this.

I stopped at the local shop I frequent once I made it back to my small town to show off the new hardware. They had Sig 320 21 round magazines that haven't sold in "years" so my buddy behind the counter cut me a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I have a feeling that I am not going to be so lucky with extra mags for the Staccato.

I'm looking forward to the range tomorrow and I am lucky to have such a great wife that doesn't mind me indulging in my hobby. One last pic of both of them:

Sorry to hear about your father.

You have some excellent pistols there. Sig P210, Staccato, and a Sig AXG Pro...can't really go wrong with those!

How does the Staccato grip compare to the Sig AXG Pro? Similar in thickness? As far as 2011s go, Staccato has great prices and it seems everybody on the youtube likes them a lot.

I was about to buy one of two 10mm 1911s when I spotted the Sig in my LGS and played around with it some. I couldn't get that gun out of my head over the weekend so I went back and bought it yesterday. I haven't fired it yet, but so far just handling it, drawing it, and working the trigger has been great. Nice sights on that gun too. The 10mm guns will just have to wait now.

I would say similiar in thickness but definately a different feel to them. I was kind of the same about the Sig, once I held it I didn't want to let it go LOL. I am not sure if I would have gotten one of the two CZ's if they didn't have the Sig but I was so impressed with the Sig that I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to find one later on. One of the regulars came into the local shop that I stopped at when I got back to Crossville, he checked out both pistols and I think he liked the Sig more than the Staccato, said he didn't want to put it down.

Just got back from the range, 150 rounds through the Staccato and 100 rounds through the AXG. Both shot great, no malfunctions.

The Staccato was practically automatic, really easy to shoot well. I haven't shot a lot of SA pistols, I think the short pull throws me off a little.

I wouldn't say I was surprised at how much I like the AXG Pro but I am really impressed with it, easily the best striker fired trigger I have ever shot. I was kind of up in the air about a X5 Legion, even put 50 rounds through a range rental, found a couple used at good prices. I am glad I held out for the AXG Pro.

First, Godspeed to you and your crew over the loss of your Father. I have several Sig 320's and 2 Stacatto P's, one with and one without an RMR. Great pistols all.

Congrats on the guns. The staccato is a nice gun. I picked one up as a self retirement gift. I also have the X5 legion. Also a very good gun for the price.

Yes I remember your post about the Staccato not too long ago. I hope you are enjoying yours, I am looking forward to more range time this weekend.

I am. Several hundred rounds though it so far. Several guys from work are now asking their wives for permission :)

I've been a home-based FFL for a couple of years, but really hadn't purchased anything for myself - I left all the profits in the business. A few weeks back, I decided that I needed to reward myself for all the hard work I've been doing. I could not decide between the Wilson Combat eXperior Compact Double Stack or the Staccato C2 DPO Tactical, so ... I bought both. The Staccato sports both a Holosun 507C green circle-dot (something I can see with my astigmatism) and a Streamlight TLR-7A, while the eXperior has the same light. Looking forward to getting to the range soon.

Congrats on the purchases and Godspeed to your father.

Sounds like it is going to be a good range day when you make it there. I have shot mostly Glocks for the past 3 years so it is nice to acquire some nicer pistols. It has been worth every penny of what I spent on my P210A, Staccato and AXG Pro.

I’m sorry for loss.

Lesson from this thread..make sure parents have up to date wills. My parent’s Will was so old it still listed guardians for us kids. I’m 50.

A coworker’s father died several years ago with a Will from the 80’s. He dated a woman for 20 years and got married so she could milk his disability and veteran’s benefits. Then he Unexpected died 78 days later (I blame the marriage). They live in NJ and wills there can’t exclude a spouse. It turned into a foshizzle show.

Nice guns..we just sold our house for a nice profit and both of those are on my short list.
