Looks like Springfield just renamed their "Loaded Model" to me. Still looks good to me.
The "Loaded" has an ambidextrous safety and the addition of some ugly BS front slide serrations and even uglier rail.

The Garrison seems to be a more traditional 1911, without some of those uglier features of the Loaded.

looks like a great 1911 I wish they had the high cut behind the trigger like the latest Colts , I always found the SA guns seem a tad thick in that area .

They are refreshing the 1911 lineup which is good, but why they killed off the Range Officer is beyond my comprehension. It was a great gun for the money.
So they can replace it with great guns for a lot more money.

I don't dislike it.

But I caution them from putting their foot in the Colt hole where every conceivable permutation of a 1911 is given it's own model and run.

I'm immediately turned off by new/modern 1911's without front strap checkering. If you're a serious 1911 shooter you need to have that (along with a beaver tail). Yea, skateboard tape works just as well, but yea it's skateboard tape.

How are these new models like the garrison and ronin a lot more money than an RO with a retail price of 800 and 849 dollars . beside there still a butt load of RO's out there new to buy so get cha some .

I rather have no front checkering on the front strap and add some skate board tape than have some of the aggressive cheese grate front strap cuts some high end model have on them .

I would pay the extra 49 bucks for the sights on the Ronin

You ether like it or you don't , not really a big deal , time to move on .
