I'd still carry a P365 ok, but I'd feel a bit better with a Reflex(internal)...
Are you aware of anyone who has discussed or assessed the safety mechanisms of the Reflex?

I know it has a "trigger safety" but I don't know what internal safeties may exist for that cocked, single action pistol. Most cocked, single actions have a grip safety and/or a manual safety.

It doesn't even sound like FN is overly confident in its own design since the manual recommends carrying on an empty chamber:

I feel much more comfortable with my P365.

How is a fully cocked firing pin connected to a sear like the Sigs different than a fully cocked hammer connected to a sear?
...
Well, that's my question. I suppose any potential difference would relate to the particular designs but I haven't seen any YT videos looking closely at the design yet. If it's out there and you know about it, I'd be interested in a link.

...I think they're nearly identical, as long as they have firing pin blocks. I think that's just legal protection junk (the manual warning). The FN has both block and trigger safety.

IMO the Glock with the full 3 is 'best'. The FN has 2. The Sig only has the block.
I had previously only been told about the manual recommending no chambered rounds. I only just now looked it up and reading further, I see the reference to the firing pin block. That's more than I knew for sure a day ago.

Since I don't own a Reflex myself, I'd still love to see someone doing a technical breakdown of the inner workings.

I'm pleased with my P365 and don't hesitate to carry it regularly but there's a part of me that, despite them being so late to the game, is really looking forward to the HK micro that is still in the works.

If they do it right, they have a chance to produce a best of all worlds micro 9 that learns from all its predecessors.

That's good to hear, I appreciate the feedback.

I have a very similar mindset and background.

As I stated previously I carried a Glock my entire career, except for a short period of time I carried an H&K (less than a year).

In uniform I carried a 17 as a detective/criminal investigator I carried a 19

I also had a little AMT .380 Backup that I carried as a backup.

I'm not really fat but I was never skinny so I always like carrying small handguns off duty and now that I'm retired.

After retiring, I carried an M&P Bodyguard for a while but decided not long ago to get some type of subcompact 9mm.

I thought I would get the P365 or maybe a Glock 48, whichever came first.

Well I got the P365, I'm relieved to hear you are happy with it. :)
Lots of us are happy with them!

Looks good.

I actually prefer the black over the coyote but that's what was sitting in the case at my LGS and he offered me a cash otd price I didn't want to pass up.

You have the newer design that doesn't require removing the rear sight when adding the optic which is also an improvement.

Enjoy your safe and reliable pistol.
