SIG SAUER Announces a New P365 Chambered in .380 ACP

How much larger is the 365 .380 than the LCP Max? I think that will likely be a factor in how much it cuts into the Max's market share. From posts I've read, most Max fans seem to like it for its very small size. The EZ is a good bit larger than either.

I really like my little M&P BG .380, and it's often the only thing I own that will fit in my pocket, but it would be nice if it held a few more rounds. It's about the size of the Max, iirc, and anything much bigger probably wouldn't work for my (women's clothing) tiny pockets.

I'm glad Sig is releasing it. Choices are good.

You should look 8nto the Philster Enigma. There's a Facebook group that is run by the company and lots and lots of women are using it and seem to be happy.

I have one and I like it for the times I'm not wearing a belt, like when I'm in scrubs or athletic shorts. It might work well with your wardrobe if you tend to wear normal to loose fitting clothes.

Thanks for the suggestion, DG, and I'll look into it. Not on FB, though; I'm one of four women in the USA who no longer do FB. 😐

I've carried in a Remora a time or two, and it felt secure, but I still didn't like it. I don't like purse carry at all but I do like pocket carry, except that women's clothing often have ridiculously small pockets if any at all. I can have my hand on my firearm without calling any attention to it. I don't think I could do that with any kind of WB carry (if that's what the Enigma is), and I rarely wear a tucked top.

If I were a more dedicated carrier, I'd figure out a way to carry my Shield Plus. But it seems too heavy and big although I have carried it a few times in an outerwear pocket. I'm home most of the time and don't usually carry, anyway. (I know that's bad!) I'm sort of reconciled to the little BG .380 because it's small enough to fit and I like it. That 365-380 looks interesting but I bet it's too big to suit me. I've thought about checking out the LCP Max. What I'd really like to have is a little "Bodyguard Plus," but I'm not holding my breath!

I don't recall ever hearing of the Enigma but I'm about to google it. Thanks again.

Notice you asking about size comparisons. Know it's not the same as handling them, but wanted to share this site, if you aren't already familiar. I love playing on there & comparing guns until I can see one in person.

Thanks! (y) :) Very helpful website.

Just as I thought, the 365 is bigger than my BG. Looks like even the LCP Max is a little bigger overall but maybe not enough to matter much. Wish S&W would make the BG in a "Plus" like the Shield/Shield Plus. Their little BG 380 doesn't get enough love, probably because of its heavy trigger pull which I actually like.

I know I'm way too picky, but it's those doggone tiny little pockets. My 642 won't even fit in some of them. I did check out DG's Enigma, but the Express model isn't even available for a Shield (??), and it looks like a lot of "contraption" to wear for someone who thinks a Remora is "too much." 🤣 🤣 I bet it would work for a lot of people though. I guess I'm resigned to pocket holsters, but I do prefer pocket carry. But it sure limits the size of what I can carry.

I've bookmarked the comparison site; thanks again!

Handgun hero is great for quick reference and a ballpark comparison. The weakness is inconsistency of floorplates (flat vs. extended) which messes with true height comparisons and the lack of a back/thickness view on many pistols.

Height and length comparisons are a start, but don't give a good feel for the difference in bulk.

The BG380 and the P365 aren't too far off in height and length:

But in the back to back picture, you start to get a feel for the difference in scale.

As my two carry guns (well, I carry the XL slide on my P365 frame), there are worlds of difference in size between these two.

Comparing grips and spare mags in your pocket shows it, too:

Sorry I don't have an LCP Max to show you, n2g, but it looks like it would fall between the Bodyguard and the SIG.

But, I think it will have quite a bit more bulk when dealing with fractions of an inch in small pockets. It's no problem for the large guys who stuff G19s in their baggy cargo shorts, but on lean guys in dress clothes or women with small pockets, I don't go larger than the Bodyguard in a front pocket.
Thanks, M!

For me, I think the 365 would be just too big for what I need. Your third and fifth photos really highlight the differences in size, and it doesn't take a lot of difference to make a big difference in carry sometimes. Very helpful photos.

Have you looked at any Kahrs? I pocket carry a S&W 442, but sometimes even it is a little big for me. I am currently shopping for a Kahr CW380. Soft shooters for their size imo, and disappear in pockets. Nice long, but smooth DA trigger. They do have a rep for hit & miss reliability fwiw. The CT380 is just a little bigger than the CW & might interest you. Only 1 more round than your BG380 though, not like an LCP Max or P365 as far as capacity.
Thanks, GC! I've heard about the Kahrs but never really looked into them. You mentioned a hit and miss in reliability, though, so that's probably a deal breaker for me for them. I'll still take a look because I like learning about what's out there. I appreciate the info.

This is one of the great things about GT. I've found that people are always willing to help and share info and suggestions with me. Thanks so much, guys!
