My EDC is a Sig P365. I have looked all over the internet for info on comparing the 9mm 124gr HST and the new 9mm 135gr Hydra Shok Deep from a 3" barrel in ballistics gel or any medium for that matter.
Does anyone know where I can get information like this or does anyone have any knowledge as to how these two rounds perform out of a 3" barrel for defense purposes?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Your 3" barrel reduces ammo performance by a significant amount. Both of those cartridges will compensate for the short barrel to some degree, and they will work similarly. Three-quarters of an inch, or 1.1" in penetration is important on paper but doesn't change the outcome of self-defense shootings. Both bullets are proven designs.
Buy a box of each, shoot them in your pistol, and stick with whichever load shoots best for you. You'll be well protected with either one.

Thanks Rock_Crawler_Jeep. That's good to hear. I'd love to get a comparison on how the penetration and expansion of these two rounds compare out of a 3" barrel to help me decide which one to carry in my P365. for self defense.

Thanks, I've seen the video on the HydraShok Deep. The round looks impressive! It would be nice if he had compared it to the 124gr HST in the same gel block.
And I found the Federal ad strange in that they promote the 150gr HST Micro for subcompacts but the specs show the test barrel was 4". I don't know of any subcompacts, by my definition anyway, that have a 4" barrel. Hmm.
