Hey all.
Quick question. One of my shooting buds back home is getting his CCW and he’s looking for a nice carry pistol. He asked me a question about the SIG pistols and I didn’t have an answer for sure so I told him I’d find out.
Apparently a local shop he goes to has access to P229 in 40 S&W and in 357 sig. These are police trade in pistols and the price agrees with my buddy. The thing is that he wants 9mm. He asked me if the P229 pistols in 40s&w and 357sig can be converted to 9mm easily and SAFELY without too much expense. I think he is thinking that it could be done like the Glock 23 or 27 and just drop in a barrel and you’re good to go.
Whats the scoop? Is converting them possible and if so, is it a safe and simple conversion or is it a costly proposition??
thanks all and gave a good week.
