........is just plain fun.

I've had the Kel Tec .223 PLR-16 pistol for nine years. I had two but sold one to the local gun store manager. I still regret selling it.

I haven't shot the PLR in a good while. This morning I thought I'd get it out and shoot a few different reloads I have. Sierra and Remington SP bullets and pulled/scored 55 grain military FMJBT bullets.

I decided to shoot at 52 yards. The targets were 1/4 scale silhouette targets.

Along with forgetting how much fun the gun is to shoot, I forgot how accurate it is.
With a Red Dot sight, sub 2 inch groups were the norm.
The body of the (1/4 scale) target is too big a target, but the couple inch size head is just about right.
The three different bullets all did well.

The PLR is a impressive gun.
Powerful, accurate, large magazine capacity, easy and comfortable to shoot, right small, rails to hang most anything and it's not expensive.

For a defense gun I'd have one in every vehicle and at least four stashed around the place........

.......except for one thing.
The gun has a horrendous ear shattering muzzle blast and flame.

Not really.

It is too large for "every day" carry but if need be it can easily be carried under a 3/4 length coat, hung on a sling over your shoulder.

Course, I really don't want to go to places where I'd have to do that.

My use would be as a car gun or house gun but the muzzle blast prevents that.
Although, in the safe the gun had a loaded magazine and there's ear muffs on top of the safe.
