hey guys If I am shipping just my slide assembly to glock, will I have any issue just taking it to ups? I was gonna ship it in my glocks oem carrying case since I have another gun case that I actually store the gun in. Does anyone have any advice on packing it? Was just gonna use the carrying case and some bubble wrap. Since the frame will be missing its slide for a few weeks should I wrap it in like paper towels or something to avoid having the internals exposed to the air? (I.e rust?) Sorry if this is a dumb question, new gun owner here.

Last November 2019, I shipped a stripped G-23 slide to Glock for a refinish. It cost me $48.13 incl tax, and mine was sent stripped.
I used UPS and it was around $10 in a small box insured.
I got it back FED EX about two weeks later, the side was refinished and as luck would have it, all new parts in the slide.
I guess Glock no longer does that.
No box, they returned it in a plain Fed EX package.
You do not need an FFL to return a slide for repair.

You can arrange to pick up your Fed Ex pkg at the Hub.
