Shadow Systems announced their new micro 9MM pistol, the CR920, at Shot Show and is saying they should be in stores in March starting at $679. They say it will fit in holsters designed for the Glock 43 and 43X and that is about the size their CR920 will be though the height will be less than the 43X even with the 13 round magazine.

This has caught my interest as they are saying their goal in design was to make it shoot like their compact size pistols.
Unlike their other pistols they designed and are making the magazines which means they are probably going to be on the more expensive side. Flush fit 10 round and 13 round extended. There will also be an optics ready model too.

Here are exact dimensions.
Length: 6.37 inches
Width: 1.05 inches
Height: 4.27 inches with flush fit mag and 4.79 inches for extended base pad"

Per Shadow Systems info the weight is listed as 17.8 ounces.

I am very happy with my Walther PPS but would not mind having more capacity if I can find a quality pistol of the same size, including width of the pistol part that fits in the holster, that I can shoot as well as my Walther PPS. So far no other micro 9MM has met that criteria for me though I suspect the Shield Plus might but have not had a chance to try the Shield Plus yet. I am also hoping Walther and HK come out with something similar too and have read at least HK has something in the works.

Anyway nice to see another option coming to the market soon.

Nice but I'm wanting to see the PSA Micro Dagger.
Uses PSA 15 rd mags OR G43X/48 mags.
$299.
Only problem is zero holster availability. At least the CR920 will fit existing G43 holsters, albeit at twice the cost of the Mini Dagger.

When I first read about the CR920 (article on Shadow Systems website) I was a little interested, then after watching a couple of videos from the company, I started to lose that interest. I am not really a micro 9 fan, and it appears that this is going to be closer to the 43 than the 26 in size/weight.

My wife was also excited about the gun, until she realized that it isn't a 26 style gun, but more of a 43. She has no interest in going smaller than her 26.

Still, when it comes out, I will be checking it out, maybe even buy one to put it through its paces (unless one of my local indoor ranges gets one for the rental case). Time will tell.

I'm happy with my 918s and might be picking up another 920.

I understand but I would have to wait minimum year on the Dagger to see how it shakes out high round count reliability/durability, performance, trigger quality, accuracy, recoil control, etc wise. I have much more confidence in Shadow Systems plus I am willing to pay more for a premium brand with an excellent reputation, especially for a carry gun.

Yawn...I'm an old fart...my g-19 does all I need
I understand and love my Gen 2 Glock 19 that sees a lot of time on my belt.

However I just turned 70 and my body is as not strong, flexible, or forgiving as it used to be and I aprreciate a smaller/thinner/lighter carry pistol for maximum comfort especially for all day carry.

I just acquired the MR920 Combat. It is a winner!!!

I think like the original Dagger, some holsters meant for the Glocks will work.
It depends on how closely molded they are especially around the trigger guard.
I like and use Remora holsters and I'm sure they will work for the PSAs buy choosing the one for the Glock model they're based on.
I know this because I have a Dagger and use the Remora recommended for the G19 (along with other pistols).

Have several SS platforms and was excited to hear about the CR series. Really wish they would have more closely followed the 43x grip dimensions and Mag well so the SA15 mags would work. The extended 13 round Mag appears to give you full purchase but will have that pinky pinching seam from grip to Mag extension the P365 / Hellcat have that make them uncomfortable to shoot for very long. Like the slide, rail and grip texture, just think they missed the mark by not making the grip itself taller with their signature back straps to adjust for the perfect grip fit. SA mag compatibility would have been a major bonus….swing and a miss!

There’s a video that SS posted on YouTube yesterday where it’s stated that SA mags can be used if you change the mag catch in CR920.
I don’t really care about the mags being proprietary. My concern is about holster compatibility.
