Admittedly, I'm not sure if this is "New" as of this year.....I keep thinking Ruger had a .22 Hornet-chambered revolver before, but I could be wrong.

Seems a HUGE platform for such a cartridge. 8 rounds in a giant gun like that? Eh....what say you?

EDIT: So apparently, this release is a few months old, so I'm late to the punch. What are your thoughts though?
 
I have a few Hornet rifles including the Ruger 77-22H. The SRH would be a perfect complement to it. Hard to find in my area unless I go the GunBroker route.

there were writeups in guns and ammo and shooting illustrated
 
LOL, I have the Redhawk in .357 magnum and it's a real soft shooter. The recoil is damped way down compared to my Redhawk .44 magnum. Even with hot rounds, it's barely noticeable. With the .22 Hornet, I doubt you even feel it.
