Ruger RXM Holster/Trigger Guard

I am looking at options for the RXM. Some Glock sizes fit, and some don't fit quite right due to slight changes in dimensions.

In looking for an option for truck-gun mount, I stumbled upon this. Has anyone used one of these, or have experiences with them? It has me simultaneously curious and skeptical! Any other options folks have for G19-sized guns? In particular, it would be great if I could find a holster with a flat velcro back (the hook back, not the soft loops).

Here is the interesting concept I saw on Amazon that I am curious if anyone has tried (for any gun, not just the RXM):

That particular holster doesn't impress me much,

but the couple holsters I have have fit glocks and the rxm interchangeably.

particularly the safariland 500 series and an out of production bladetech level II/III
Thanks. For the need I have, I don't really want the belt clip or a true holster. I want to mount it to a wall/console in a vehicle. Looking for an easy way to do that without using a traditional holster. Any ideas are welcome!

This is what I currently have set up for the rear seat of the F-150 (quad cab, this is behind the right rear seat where the tire jack resides).

Since I travel through Illinois/Chicago/Oak Park, I need a lock box so that I don't run afoul of the law if I stop. So that explains the small security box (complies with laws, but wouldn't be tough to break into).

Some of the spare mags when this photo was taken were for my SIG 365 (which was locked in the box), but since that time the mags have been shifted to G19 mags. The intent is to keep this setup, but also add a quick setup for the driver's side area (for ready access). The reason for the request for Velcro is that Ford was kind enough to use a fabric on the back of these seats that Velcro sticks to aggressively, negating the need for screws/glue/fasteners/magnets. The RXM in the photo has a trigger guard covering the trigger.

The photo shows the seat folded forward. It is surprisingly well hidden, and unlikely to be somewhere people would easily locate.

I am just trying to streamline and simplify the process and some of these bizarre "holsters" look like they might attach easily to the center console and provide an easy way to have the gun close while driving, while also allowing for transfer to concealed carry or moving to the less accessible storage in the back behind the seat.

Not with that brand. But I've used the one that, I think, inspired the concept of it: the VersaCarry ZeroBulk holster.

It has even less mountable surface area than the one you are looking at.

But based on my experience with the VersaCarry version, I think the one you're looking at could work pretty well. Low profile. Simple design. Covers the trigger but leaves good access to the grip.

I will say that the barrel plug on the VersaCarry i had years ago was WAY too tight. I had to file off about 30% of the prong so that it held the gun snuggly but could pulled off with reasonable effort. The way it came from the factory, all that would happen when you tried to draw the gun was that you'd experience a self inflicted wedgie. Once modified, it worked as intended. (I don't know if they are still that tight or if the brand you're considering has ever had that problem).

My second thought was some kind of magnet. As long as you aren't planning to get a light or laser for the gun, why not go with the basic version of the Stinger magnet you show above?

No flip out tabs or hinges to worry about and cheaper, too.

Thanks. I like that version better, and had not seen it. They are cheap, so I ordered one to see how well it fits. I appreciate you pointing this one out.
