Was just at my FFL doing a transfer. He is generally very knowledgeable and reliable with info and said the Ruger PCC just came out in 10mm even though you can’t get your hands on one at the moment. Anyone have any info? Is it true? Haven’t been able to find anything online.

I wonder if you would be able to shoot 40S&W out of it like you can out of a Glock 10mm using the 10mm barrel.

The Ruger site shows the 40S&W but not a 10mm.

It's not on lipseys so it's probably not real. CMMG has the Banshee in 10mm that was recently released, maybe he was thinking about that? Who knows.

They could, especially for states that have a 10 round magazine restriction, and then it could use an adaptor that allows it to use either Ruger mags or Glock 20 mags for states that aren't run by Democrats.

If a blowback or a delayed blowback 10mm isn't possible on the same format, I'd be happy with a 45 ACP that used either Ruger or Glock magazines.

I don't think a practical blowback system could be made to contain the 10mm.

The 9mm one has a tungsten block in the bolt to help delay the bolt opening. They would really have to upsize the bolt size/weight to make it work.

I can work on guns but not design them so I give it to the engineers that they might figure it out.

I have the 9mm carbine and would love a 10mm one but I don't see it happening.

I have no doubt they could but it would most likely be very clunky like the hi-point. I think what people appreciate about the Ruger carbine is that it's not a whole lot larger than the 1022.
Even with exotic heavy alloys the bolt would need to be fairly large. The 10mm doesn't operate at wicked pressures, ~2,500 PSI higher than the 9mm, but the recoil impulse is appreciably higher, which would cause the bolt to open too soon unless the weight or spring pressure was there to delay it.

I don't put it past Ruger to be able to do it. I hope they do. I would love to have one to go with my Glock 20.

It is said that the hi-point carbine is not bad. A guy in my department has one in 9mm that he is trying to blow up as a research project. He has been blocking the barrel and remotely firing it. So far, it's still together.

I had a hipoint 9mm carbine several years ago. I believe it cost $175 new, and came with scope mount, extra mag, and nylon case.
In the four years or so that I owned it, I put several thousand rounds through it...everything from white box to +P+.
It never jammed. It always displayed good, even great, accuracy...even out to 100yds.
Their 10mm carbine seems to get pretty good reviews on YouTube. If it used G20 mags, I’d be getting one.
If Ruger does it, even better.

Follow up: I called Ruger on Friday and the woman I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about regarding a 10mm Ruger PCC. She asked around for a few minutes and told me that they only have the PCC in 9mm and .40 flavors.

Too bad, my hopes were high. I am still hoping for one in 45acp. [emoji19]

TNW and Just Right Carbines are two companies that I can think of off the top of my head that make 10mm blowback carbines. The only one I have experience with is the JRC and lets just say it's on it's way back to the factory.
