I use my LC9s Pro for pocket carry in cargo shorts in the summer / Florida with an Alabama pocket holster:

A few months ago I traded a Rock Island GI 1911 to my neighbor for his Glock 43. My goal was / is to replace my LC9s Pro for pocket carry. The problem is, I just don't shoot the Glock 43 as well as I shoot the LC9s Pro.

I normally carry my Glock 43X OWB summer and winter.

Last year I traded my Ruger LCP in on a LCP Max 380. It's a nice gun to throw in my pocket in the evening after carrying my 43X all day. However, it hasn't made it into my EDC carry rotation. I probably should've just kept the smaller LCP.

So going back to the original topic...
The trigger on the LC9s Pro is WAY better than the LCP Max 380. It doesn't have the wall in the pull that the LCP, LCPII, and LCP Max has.

Another reason I like the LC9s Pro is because it has dovetailed front and rear sights My LC9s Pro has tritium night sights. Ruger discontinued the LC9s Pro and replaced it with the cheapened EC9 that doesn't have dovetailed sights.

I can't speak to the Ruger Max 9 as I have no interest in it - already owning a Glock 43X. But if the Max 9 has the similar BAD trigger like the LCP Max, I would pass on it.

Thanks for posting. Any pics of the LCP Max & LC9s together? Ever put the LC9s in jeans pocket? (Not skinny jeans 😂)
I'll take quick pic of the 2 together in few.

I also don't wear skinny jeans, preferring Carhartt Jeans.
It depends on your jeans but I find all pocket pistols in average long pants either print like crazy or look like you have a paperback book in your front pocket.
While I carry in the front pocket of my cargo shorts, the outline of the gun is kind of broken up by the flap of the cargo pocket.

Alabama Holsters have this style holster that hides the profile of a pistol in your pocket. The panel is worn facing out.
I bought one to try with my G43 and it works well with loose cargo short pockets. However in Jeans it looks like you stuffed a book or tablet in your pocket.

LC9s Pro & LCP Max 380.
The LC9 is definitely bigger.

I've tried replacing my LC9s Pro a couple times now and am glad I've kept it.
I tried a Sig P365 - too heavy for a pocket gun and I didn't shoot it well. Also tried a S&W Shield, which I didn't shoot well & hated the trigger. Got rid of both those guns.

I'm uncertain on the Glock 43. I need to practice more with it. So far it hasn't replaced the LC9s Pro.

It's just so perfectly suited to it's task. But everyone always has to have the latest and greatest, so they keep buying the new models, and the new models keep getting bigger because people are convinced they need higher capacity. Then it's just a hop to an even bigger 9mm.
I have a rohrbaugh. I could buy a lcp max anytime I want. I still carry the original p3at and first gen lcp. It's just a better gun, and fits the role perfectly.
I handled a KelTec P3AT at gun shop when they 1st came out and broke it.
I removed the magazine and pulled the slide back. It locked open and wouldn't go back forward. I gave it back to the clerk working the counter, he couldn't get the slide to close either.

The Ruger LCP (3AT copy) never impressed me but a couple years ago I bought one. The trigger is horrible. The sights are horrible. The best I can say about my Ruger LCP was, it's tiny and went bang. I just didn't care much for it and traded it for a LCP Max. It wasn't worth much toward the trade and I probably should've kept it but I wouldn't waste $ replacing it.

I don't care for the LCP Max either. The trigger sucks compared to a standard Glock trigger or the Ruger LC9s Pro trigger. There are a lot of complaints on the LCP Max sights - that the gun shoots low. I figured out the LCP Max sights. I found that I need to see part of the slide in front of the front sight for the gun to hit POA. While I don't care for the trigger, I can still shoot it.

In general I'm not a fan of "get off me" guns. If I'm going to carry a gun as a primary EDC it needs to easily hit targets at 25yds. I can do that easily with my 2 current carry guns - Glock 43X & Ruger LC9s Pro. Plus all my other Glocks that I don't carry anymore - multiple G19's and a G26.

If I'm really worried about "deep concealment" and not printing, I'll IWB my G43X or LC9S.
