Repeat injuries from shooting regularly

It sounds to me like you’re doing something wrong, just my opinion. Shooting guns shouldn’t cause tendinitis, even if you’re going through thousands of dollars in ammo per month.
I am 72, have had osteo and psoriatic arthritis for the last 30 years, a broken wrist and shoulder about 5 years ago from a motorcycle crash, and currently run about 20,000 rounds per year in competition. The way to manage recoil, whether it's a 22LR or 10mm, is with the correct stance and grip.

Small frame light guns have brutal recoil. Get a full size heavier gun in a caliber you can manage.
