Greetings everyone,
I have the Speer #14 manual, first printing April 2007, which is about when I picked this copy up, and have used this manual for many load developments. I recently (last month) picked up a copy of the Speer #15 manual, copyright 2018, so it's just about 2 years old. I picked my copy up at midwayusa.com for $27.99
I have given it the "once over" and I love the new way it is laid out, with more color, descriptions and dimensions given. This would be a complete manual for the absolute beginner with tons of new info for the seasoned reloader as well. All of the articles have been updated and not just re-hashing the same article word for word.
Just going over most of the handgun loads I have used; many more powders and some new bullets have been added. For example; 9mm Luger gives you detailed brass case history & expanded specs, technical notes, ballistic data, handloading notes and safety notes. Each bullet type has at least 3-4 different powders added. I especially like the added load data for 357 magnum and 45 Colt, which included test firing and gen penetration pictures.
Other loads like those for 357 SIG/45 GAP are pretty much the same - a bit more colorful.
All in all I feel this is an very nice upgrade from the last version and well worth the money to have this in your reloading library. Check it out and let us all know what you think.
