I was wondering how many of you guy's have the 22 Round Mag's and keep them loaded with 22 Round's?? Its a question because one guy told me to load the 22 Round Mag's with 20 Round's. Does loading it to capacity really wear the mag spring's out?? I got my 6 22 Round Mag's loaded with 20 Round's of the S&W for my concealed carry Glock 22. Thanks

If you try the search function, you will find several threads on the factory 22 round .40 magazines. I found them to be unreliable and a solution looking for a problem.

If you can keep this on the topic of the magazines and not CC issues, we can leave it open.

I never heard that the 22 round Glock Factory mag's were unreliable.I did hear that the Korean Mag's were very unreliable.I loaded up some Winchester Ranger T's and put 21 in the mag.The last round I cannot get in the dam thing.:crying:

I have several factory G22 22rnd mags and am rarely able to get through a whole mag without a failure to feed...

I use them only for range fun, and never for home/personal defense. They're just not reliable enough for me...

Thats good to know.I never heard of that before with the Glock Factory Mag's.Do you know if the Glock 15 Round Mag's feed well.I have one that is 23 year's old and the spring is bouncy.I always thought the 33 round Glock Factory mag along with the .40 Cal Factory Glock Mag had no problem's.Maybe its a bad decision to rely on them.I guess that long spring is what causes the unreliability.:dunno:

My 15rnd mags run like champs. Never an issue.

I have 6 of the 22rd mags. so far never a problem in my G22 or G27.

I leave them loaded. I don't like loading mags at the range.

Hmm. It seems more guy's have no problem's with them then guy's who do. I tried loading my 165 grain Winchester T'S in my carry back up Mag. I can't get that 22nd bullet in there.Maybe its something with the Winchester T Ammo. Anyway my Golden Saber's I fit in no problem. I always carry the 165 grain Gloden saber's in my Glock 22's 15 Round Mag.Where I live their is alot of mugging's and the only person to stop that is the first line of defense. It bothers me I can't get this last Ranger T in the Mag. I feel cheated.

Well my loading tool snapped apart.i don't remember how it happened.I did just manage to get my final Winchester Ranger T in the 22 Round Mag. I just love that round. Another thing when loaded with 22 round's how long can one leave them in the Mag.Will the bullets corrode being exposed to the hot and cold weather?? This is my back up mag to my 15 Rounder for my Glock 22. And Yes where I live I don't go anywhere without 3 Mag's. I guess I got to get a Belt Mag Holder for the 22 rounder's.

As with anything, you'll always have some poor reviews...

Whether or not they work with other folks isn't important... Whats important is if they work with you.

I change my carry ammunition in my pistols about every 6 months by shooting it.
Yeah I was a little worried about leaving and carrying the bullet's for 3 year's without shooting it in the winter and summer here in PA. Im very accurate with my Glock 22 but don't get too practice much. I don't like to waste my Golden Saber's or Winchester T'S though. their for self defense.

The question is would anyone bet their life with their 22 round factory Glock mag's if your life was at risk? Their's 2 guy's on this thread that would say no. I guess everybody's gun functions differently.

33 round 9mm mags, 15 round .40 mags, 17 round 9mm mags, even those with +4/+6 extensions on them, yes, I would bet my life on them.

I had 3 22 round .40 mags. After a few hundred rounds through them, they started to have some issues. About 600 rounds in, they were one or two bobbles every 2nd or 3rd mag. Glock replaced 2 of the 3. One of those never had an issue, the other one had the same problems after about 600 rounds. Tweaked springs, had custom springs made, tuned followers. If I can not run 200 rounds straight through a pistol, it is not streetable to me. Even then I run 50 rounds a quarter through every defensive firearm. So, 22 round .40 mags, 2 of the 3 could not pass the 200 round test...sold them all.
