What are your thoughts? Searching GT, the only threads I see to find on this is WTS or WTB. And all seemed to be closed sold or bought. Which seems to be a good thing.

Are you able to keep both eyes open with the 3x?

I had one a while back, 2x or 3x. Probably a previous generation. Heavy. Quality seemed decent enough, I just wasn't as much a fan of fixed magnification as I thought I would be. I'm kind of interested in the 1x Cyclops due to the etched reticle.

Ah yes, the "Bindon Aiming Concept". That never really worked well enough for me beyond a couple/few seconds. My non-dominant eye is significantly weaker than the other one, though; I don't know if that was a factor. It's one of the reasons I got rid of my magnified PA prism, since it wasn't much good to me as an ad hoc red dot.

Yeah, I just mean that I'm interested in the 1x since it will still "work" sorta-kinda like a red dot even if the battery/electronics fail.

Those multiple piece cantilevered mounts seem not super durable. But I’ve wanted a micro 5x with a dot on top for a while now.

I’m looking at purchasing a couple/three. Can’t have a magnified optic on my patrol rifle and I like the fact that it works even if the battery dies.
Thinking one for a .223, one for a .300 and one for a 9mm. Then I’ll ditch the red dots I have on those three guns.
On the multi piece mounts, I suppose I’ll thread lock the screws one I decide which configuration I want to use.

The one I linked is 3x but they also have. 1x and a 5x.

Best aware that the chevron on the 1x is very small. I couldn't see it well enough to use it. The outer ring shows up well, so it was fine for really close range.

I have been told the chevron in the 3x is just right.
