C&H Precision. We use them for our work guns. I have installed dozens of optics on MOS pistol with the C&H V4 plates and have seen zero failures at this point. I have a 19 with a RMR and a V4 plate that I have several thousand rounds through and it has held fast.

You must take the install seriously. You need a torque wrench. Use acetone, alcohol, or nail polish remover and completely degrease the screws and threads on the gun and the plate. Use blue Loctite or Vibratite thread locker and torque them to specs, no tighter. 12 inch pounds feels like nothing but it will hold and will not damage the screws.

Properly installed it will be solid. I have seen way too many issues from over tightening.

C&H.
Period.
Either C&H or Forward Controls Design. I had a serious problem with C&H at first because the mounting screws kept breaking off when tightening, even with a torque driver. To their credit, the owner of C&H reached out to me and worked with me and discovered that a whole batch of their screws were never heat treated. They ended up sending me about a dozen replacement screws, but before that, they sent me three batches of replacement screws, all of which sheared off before they found out what the issue was. Just as a precautionary note, if you have a similar issue with mounting a C&H plate, be sure to reach out to them.. they know what the issue is.

Any recommendations? Even the retailer I bought my Glock from said the OEM MOS plates aren’t good. C&H? fCD?

I thought I would go straight to the GT brain trust vs the scum on reddit for ideas.
Never had a problem with the MOS plates on my G19 after 6K rounds...

I had problems with C&H Precision and they never solved the problem, did not had screws in stock and when they realize that the plate was out of specs they blamed me saying that it was over torqued! Never made it right for me!

Forward Controls Design plate for the Glock and Trijicon SRO is on my G47 and still going strong!

I went with a Holosun (Glock) SCS for my G19gen5MOS.
I then didn't need to consider mounting plates or taller sights (for cowitnessing).

This is just what I did. I realize others will have specific optics which will be preferred other than the SCS.

The SCS MOS is great sight and is easy to mount on the Glock but the window size is too small for my taste, moved from the SCs to the RMR and recently moved to the RMR HD because of the window size, the HD works fine for me!

Another vote for the Holosun SCS. No plate needed, standard height iron sights. The best combination!

Post 16,
Thanks for the RMR HD recommendation. I'll be researching that sight (I'm watching YT vids on it as I type):)

I have FCD, C&H and Calculated Kinetics. My recommendation is Calculated Kinetics. The Dog tags are great.

Unless you're using NODS, window size shouldn't matter, if you're using the sight correctly.
