Plus three mag extensions?

I own a variety of Hyve products. I am using their +2 mag extensions on both my G26 and the Shield with no issues. I am looking at the +3 extensions for my newly acquired G19. Does anyone have experience with these? Seems like there would be feed issues if the stock spring is used.

I welcome your feedback.

I will ask not out of snarkiness but curiosity - why aftermarket mag extensions when 17 or 19 round oem mags exist? In other platforms I wouldn't bat an eye at such a question, but the Glock over insertion stop makes the need for flush fitting spacers unnecessary. Unless you just want it took cool then that's also an acceptable answer. Lol

Are you talking about this?
+3 Mag Base Pad for the Glock 19

This is crap! stay away from it those extensions does not work with the 9-coil or even the 10 coils springs.
That screw in the back of the plate will rust and will brake very easy if you tight it too much, not worth it.
To be honest the Arredondo extensions are the best.
The Glock 7151 +2 extension with a 10-coil spring is very reliable on the G19!

I own a couple of Hyve +3 mag extensions that use on my SS MR920 and they run great. They make some cool colors and no need to be apologetic if that’s something you fancy. I also run a few X-grips as well in my 19 with zero issues, other than occasionally the screw loosens and the extension will ride up the mag a little bit. No big deal at all though

For me, the purpose of carrying a compact or sub vs. a full size gun is size and weight. So I'm not going to add those back with an oversized primary mag - I would just use a larger gun.

My carry reloads are based on ergonomics, so they are full size regardless of the primary mag/frame size. I guess the exception would be the 140mm carry reload, but that's more of a fun thing for me.

You can get a variety of +0 aftermarket base pads in different colors, or even have them done custom. For Glock, I like Dawson +0's and TTI 140's. The Dawson's are great for fine-tuning your index, because they come in +100, +200 and +300 thicknesses.

Personally, no. I would trust OEM over anything else, just because Glock mags are still proven. OEM for carry, magpul for range or competition.

And this largely depends on your experiences with them. I've not had reliability issues with magpul but I have had issues with reliably dropping mags while oem ones are easier.

I run +2's on both my G26 and the Shield. No issues.

I ordered a few 17 round mags. I may replace the base plates with something more "blingy" but I decided against the +3 extensions. I cannot see how a stock spring can maintain an extra three rounds.
