Finally shot my beloved Gen 4 G26 (twice; two 10 round mags). The freezing temps and the pinky pinch were more than my neuropathic hands could take!:crying: Any fixes out there? Thanks!

When I know I'm going to shoot several mags or more in a gun that pinches/bites(like Colt 1918 repro) I just put a bandaid on the area to be assaulted or use gloves.

You probably won't notice the pinch if you are really in a PINCH.

G36 pinches my pinky a little. Not a big deal to me but with certain types of nerve damage/problems you just gotta protect yourself as you can to make shooting more pleasurable.

I think if there was a fix for pinky pinch in a 26/36 or similar everybody would know about it by now; I am open to hear what works for others.

No sarcasm intended in this response. A G19 magazine in the G26, use the standard G26 magazine with your pinky curled under it (works well on my G39), or the Glock "+" baseplate installed on the magazine (turns 10 rounds into 12 rounds).

This phenomenon was so bad on the G30 I once owned that I got rid of it (other reasons as well). You are not alone. Interestingly, G26 and G39 don't give me the pinch with the techniques I suggested above. Good luck.

I'm certainly not against whittling the Glock frame or mag extension so it fits your hand better.

My hands are sensitive in certain areas. Glock knuckle sux. Filing and sanding a bit is ongoing with my 36.

Holding my gen4 26 with a 10 round stock mag I like to put my pinky underneath the magazine anyway a la Hickok45. I don't have big hands. Never preferred mag extensions/add-ons.

I cannot avoid the pinch with the 36. It's just part of the program.

I prefer my Glock 26 and Glock 27 without extensions, but I do have one on a magazine for my 26. The few times I used it, I didn't get pinched, but my wife did. I very lightly sanded the front of the extension where it meets the frame. The slightly softened edge was enough to do the trick.

I think the only real fix is to remove the extension...when I first got my 27, I put the pg26xl on and shot 200 rounds and ended up with a blood blister on my pinky...so I went with the flush mags...been carrying that way now for 6 years.

Recently I got the itch to try again, so this time I went with the pg2733...shot 50 rounds threw it yesterday and 200 threw my 19 and this time I adjusted my grip some, and now the pinch is on my ring finger...I just don't think there is a way out of the pinch, it's a by product of have the magazine extended and placing a finger on it

I have a few old Glock magazines for the 26, 27, 33 and they fit tighter against the frame than newer magazines.
With the old magazines and a Pearce magazine extension, I do not get pinched because they don't leave a gap between the frame and magazine.
Newer magazines leave a gap that that is annoying and pinches my pinky if I use a Pearce magazine base.
My solution is to not use the Pearce magazine bases on any of the magazines for consistency; on any subcompact (26, 27, 33) I will just wrap my pinky under the magazine and not get pinched.
The annoying gap created by newer Glock subcompact magazines has caused me to carry a 19/23/32 over the subcompact models if / when possible. With the 19/23/32 the grip is long enough to accommodate my pinky; so, new vs old magazine is irrelevant (they have more of a gap too), no pinky pinch regardless.

Ha ha just funning w/ you.

You sand on your gun.

I too sand on mine.

I rounded off the trigger guard 'nose'.

I also sanded the bottom lip off my Pearce mag bases so I don't feel them when I shoot.

Like Hickok45, I've never used pinky in my grip, from western six-guns to my Colt Officers.

In fact, I held the Officers w/ my pinky under the mag base.

The benefit of that was also that I spread my fingers out a little and got to use my strong ring finger as the base finger.

Helpful for that snappy little thing.

You can go to the hardware store and buy an assortment pack of O-rings. Find the o-ring that fits over the mag and fills in the gap between the mag base and the grip without making the mag hard to lock in place. No gap, no pinch.

My SR9c bit my hand pretty good the first time I slammed home a full-sized mag (with grip adapter) at the range, so I know what you're talking about. I learned very quickly to grip the gun differently when I'm slamming home a mag. I grip tight with the index and middle fingers straighten my other two fingers, and that gets that meaty part of my hand out of the way.

I gotta say, that gun will tear you a new one when you pull the slide back too if you're not careful. The frame mounted safety - on both sides of the frame - is very small and thin, making it sharp enough to bite your fingers/thumb/palm as you run the slide and your hand over them. It doesn't help that the recoil spring on that gun is quite stiff so you're already gripping quite tightly. That's another thing I learned very quickly to do differently after drawing blood the first time, to hold the slide just a smidge high when pulling the slide back.

I love how it fits in my hand and how it shoots, though, so I have no plans to get rid of it. I shoot it at IDPA and have yet to have it bite me there, so those lessons in pain prevention seem to have stuck pretty well.

X-Grip from Glockstore and Glock's "small finger" grip extension cured the pinch!

This is exactly what I found. The older mags don't pinch. Not sure if it is the mag release cuts or the follower and spring tension. I don't use the new mags.

This is the easiest fix out there, and it works.

I have G26 gen 4 with the Pearce Grips and also had the pinch. Earlier today I took a file to the Pearce grips and went off to the range. While at the range the grips worked out fine but the radius on the lower frame area was also the villain. While at the range I filed the areas down just enough it’s hardly noticeable and it worked out.

I ordered 1500 from EBAY--solved my problem w/factory mags in G27 & G29.
