KKM had one threaded .40 conversion barrel in stock and I got my order in today. Still have to wait until my dang FOID goes through before I can legally shoot in Illinois. Anyway, looking forward to putting some 180 grain .40s through the G20 at the range.

I have a G-20 with an aftermarket Lone Wolf .40 4.6" barrel and really prefer it over the 10mm. A reasonable load of Power Pistol (5.8 grs.) pushes 180 gr. coated bullets at 984 fps. A very pleasant to shoot load, The standard deviation (SD) was an outstanding 2.
In comparison, 10mm Armscor 180 gr. was 1166 with a 15 SD, and Freedom Mun. 180 was 1009 with a 23 SD. 10mm 180 gr. Power Pistol reloads gave me 1122 fps, SD of10.
The 10mm is only 138 fps faster than the .40 . Not a whole bunch, plus the .40 cases are a lot cheaper and way more available.
I found that .40's work fine in 10mm barrels except the barrels should be cleaned regularly, though no big deal.
Anyhow, enjoy.
