I am one who shot the GEN 5 and thought the trigger was noticeably better. Most people, but not all agree. But I've also heard people say that a high round count will smooth out a GEN 3or GEN 4 trigger just the same or almost as well. I don't have a high enough round count to say. What's your opinion? Anybody know first hand?

I voted for option two; A little better than a high round count Gen3-4. The Gen5 has the best out of the box [Glock] trigger that I've ever felt. I can't wait until I have a few thousand rounds through it and it really smooths up. :) I'm not going to do a $0.25 trigger job on mine, I'm just going to let it smooth up naturally. I'm planning to head to the range tomorrow and put 450 rounds of Blazer Brass through it and various SD rounds. I'll let you know how it goes....

I had to like it just because I knew it would make someone herniate themselves. :)

1911 trigger is a different system entirely, it has some advantages, but not enough to make its system pretty much considered obsolete for Law Enforcement, military, and even Olympic target shooting. Why some still worship at the altar I will never know.
