I got a new Glock G34 Gen 5 today and as I was getting things setup I was reminded of one of the things I hate most about Glock.

This stupid safety sticker!

I always take them off my Glock cases but I swear that about 90% of the time they make a mess when they come off...

Nothing a little GooBGone won’t fix with a little elbow grease, but why does Glock feel the need to slap this monstrosity on all their gun cases! Grrrrrr!

Ok rant over. Now off to the range to enjoy my perfect pair.

At least there’s a happy ending to this story right? LOL!

Won’t you be disappointed someday when you find out your original gun with case would have been worth $500 more with that sticker on it!
Was just gonna say...

Some nut-house collector will probably pitch a hissy fit the sticker is missing, cut his offer in half.

Do you guys open the case with the sticker up or sticker down? I always do sticker down with the short foam on the bottom, but then the latches are close to the table and I end up lifting the box a bit to get my fingers under them. It kind of seems like Glock designed the boxes to open sticker side up with the short foam on top.

Sticker up.

When I get a new Glock, I take the gun and magazines out of the case. I leave everything else, including the receipt in the case and put it in the space behind my safe and the wall. If I change the sights, mag release, slide release, etc. I put the original parts in the case as well. I would be OK with a new Glock in a cardboard box if it were a few bucks less expensive.

I pretty much do the same, any parts that get replaced and all the original papers stay in the case.

Don't give 'em any ideas, now they'll use cardboard boxes and still charge the same price, to make the company more money.

Great points Gents.

There probably is some nutty Glock collector that wants that sticker on there, but I guess that guy won’t be buying my guns then! LOL!

I do like most of you guys do and just leave all, but the gun and mags, in there and toss them all on a shelf in my gun room. But something about that stupid “lawyer” sticker drives me nuts and I need to get it off there. OCD gun owners of the world unite!

Better to be printed on the box rather than the gun itself.
Much like most S&W pistols and all Ruger firearms made after 1978.

One major reason I love Glock pistols is because they don't have ridiculous safety warning slogans inscribed all over the frame and slide.

Interesting tidbit. About 18 months ago I bought a new S&W 642, it came in a cardboard box. It was a factory box, S&W graphics and it was fitted to the gun. I just assumed S&W switched over to cardboard. About 3 months ago I bought a new S&W 442, it came in a nice S&W blue plastic case. Go figure?

Why is the sticker there.......Glock lawyers.
...and people new to firearms. The sticker does no harm and might help educate some of the people who are clamouring to own their first gun without experience or training.
