I sent them a 1 day old gun with less than 50 rounds through it. I expect them to put me in the same position I was in before the malfunction occurred. In the law of remedies this is simply known as "the rightful position rule".
The spring damaged the polymer frame and caused it to bulge leaving a gap between the frame and the front insert. I expected them to repair the damage to the polymer frame, because the frame was damaged as a result of the guns malfunction.
They welded a tab on the front insert to hold the spring in place, it looked like it was staked to me, but either way it looked like something I could have done myself without sending it in.
The combination of the spot weld and the gap in the frame, looked suspect to say the least. Was it going to work? I don't know, but I sure as hell wasn't going to put 1000 rounds through it just so I could find out.
When I say I expected it fixed in a professional manner, that means I expected them to have updated replacement parts for the gun and not perform some fly by night weld job and completely neglect to fix the polymer frame. I thought the quality of the repair was poor at best. Maybe I expected to much.
Are you employed by CZ or do you have some other pecuniary interest?
I bet you got a new recoil spring from Glock though, I know I did, I certainly didn't get one that had some unprofessional homemade fix done to it.
