Does this mean I can throw out my twenty years' worth of memo books?

Never thought I'd see the day that these went away.
don’t throw them out. Read us the good stories for story time!

I bet if you go back through them, there are some real doozies.

Pens and paper rarely run out of battery so I see problems there. I’m also thinking there may be more concentration working with a phone so it may be an officer safety issue.

Flashlights, e-citations, e-citation printers, GPS, computers, cameras and now duty memo batteries to worry about.
I could see how when you were in the middle of putting notes in your phone, and the mope uses that moment to spring on you, you might be a little hesitant to drop the phone.

No concern whatsoever with dropping your book to go hands on.
