So I bought this Norinco Ak47 at a gun show from an older gentleman in his 70's... Said he had it in his closet for 30 years the way you see it... has a 10rd mag...still sealed a tool...sling...bottle and tool kit for the buttstock...

The marking says Mak 90 sporter and import mark Sportarms Miami,fl... triangle 66 and norinco...Serial number starts with QH as you see in the pic...

I thought the thumbhole stock was changed out... But come to find out it doesnt have a slant cut on the reciever for the thumbhole but a straight cut???????? Im confused... He said when he bought it 30 years ago they were coming in as you see it and he never changed anything...

The dust cover also he said was original with the rail and side screw to hold it in place...

What do i have... thanks for your help

You have one of the first generation of the neutered Clinton era AK47's, this was the first transition from the original AK's, the next incarnation was the thumb hole stock version.I don't remember ever seeing a new one with a scope mount and tension screw on the dust cover, that may have been changed, everything else is good. The receiver should measure between 1.4-1.6mm thick.
