New Glock Gen 5 Releases, MOS Only?

Are all of the new Gen 5 releases going to be MOS? I noticed neither the new 21 or 20 have a regular option. If so, that’s kind of annoying, spending 100 extra dollars for something I wouldn’t use. Good thing they still make earlier generations to avoid this.

Probably not EVERY Gen5, for instance they're going to make the G17 Gen5 as a non MOS only, so it won't even be an option for the G17. I'm sure the G19 will still offer the non MOS as will the Gen5 .40's and don't forget the G26 Gen5 which for us has never been MOS. I understand what you're saying about paying more for MOS, seems they cost about $80 more but I don't hate it either because one day you might want to run a red dot on it, then you can. If you don't want to, then don't. I have several MOS models but I don't use that feature on any of them at the moment...still more useful than FCS though hahahaaa.

I'm not sure but if I were Glock in order to streamline the process it would be easier to offer everything as an MOS gun, they could come down on price a bit too at that point, maybe a little anyways.

I think that all pistols in the near future will come as "optics capable" as standard offering, as it should be, and gun companies partner or offer their line of optics like Sig does with Romeo. I don't think I would buy a standard gun today that is not optics ready.

Like auto transmission, and door locks in cars. Computers with WiFi or Bluetooth.

Don’t be surprised when aging eyes begs reconsideration down the road. And it’s easier to acclimate to a dot sooner rather than later.

I thought the same…until I shot a dot. It’s like cheating. My eyes are 20/20 and 20/10, but the dot is much faster at any real distance and much more precise. Once you get the right presentation down (I like pushing the rear sight at the target method), it’s faster hands down.

And IF a quality dot ever ****s the bed (super rare), good irons are right there for you to use if you don’t right.

I took the liberty of emailing Glock Customer Service yesterday after reading this thread.
I asked if all Gen 5 Glocks would be MOS moving forward and will standard models be phased out.
This was their response: I enlarged, bolded and colored it

There is no truth to that.

So many people haven’t actually read what the OP posted. He said any NEW Gen 5 RELEASES. Not the ones that are already released, but the ones coming out in the future.
Seems that someone from Glock responded to someone’s email and said that isn’t true. Then again, they denied the existence of the Gen 5 20 and 21 for months until it finally came out in Shot Show so - I don’t believe anything they say. I’ll bet anything that their next Gen 5 release will be MOS only as well. If it isn’t - I’ll be very very surprised.
