I just started learning about black power revolvers just before Covid and didn’t have much practical experience due to New York’s restrictions on black power revolvers. It needs to be on your permit if you are in possession of the black power revolver and it’s loading components. I could not even keep it in the state let alone fire it . I would travel out of state to try it.
I’m a little bit of an armchair historian and wondered why one would chose a pepper box over a colt revolver for a self defense gun at the time. Now I know.
The double action feature trumps the single action at up close and city type self defense situations. It doesn’t appear to be as inaccurate as I was led to believe at these distances.
And they appear to be inexpensive as compared to the colt products.
I wonder if they had a chat room like this would the pepper box debate look like one of our caliber debates or single stack vs double stack debates-lol
