This popped up on Gunbroker last week and I worked out a price with the owner. He sells many exotic pistols, but this is the only Delta he ever offered for sale. Since I'm done buying guns in 2012, he is going to set it aside for me until after the first of the year, which isn't very far away at this point. In talking to the owner, he said he doesn't think it was ever fired.

The Delta AR Top Gun was developed by two Italian engineers in Italy and they were produced in very small numbers and are extremely difficult to find in the States. They were the European pistol of the year in 1998 and are extremely well made with everything pretty much done by hand. The gun was offered in 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP. The model I'm buying is 45ACP with a nickel finish. The pistol is all steel and quite heavy. The controls are fully ambidextrous, as you can see. The design is very cool, though it seems a bit complicated. The trigger is adjustable five different ways. :wow:

The videos below aren't the greatest quality and I don't understand a single word spoken, but it gives you a basic idea how the gun works and breaks down.

I have never seen a Delta in real life, only in pictures. Needless to say, I'm very excited about this one.

Has anybody ever seen one. Has anyone ever owned one?

Thanks! :wavey:

:rofl:I was hoping you would show us your AR collection , I'm waiting for someone to shout "go Colt/BCM/DD or go home!"

I think we both know the answer to that question, great buy and are you going to be the fist one to shoot it?

I think I have seen him post in the past, that he is more of a pistol person.

However, I thought he was broadening his perspectives a bit. Then I would have said “Bar over Safety?” :puking:

Get something else. :whistling::supergrin:

Rare as hen's teeth......as they say.

Never heard of one before......

I'd say you got what you were looking for, bac........."world's most exotic, high end ".

ooc

Never heard of it.
A very handsome pistol in spite of the rather potbellied trigger guard.
That makes it look like it has more grip rake than it actually does. I bet it is comfortable in the hand if yours is big enough to wrap around a double stack .45.

I fast forwarded through the videos to see it taken down.
Lateral roller lockup. Looks like it is more akin to CZ52 than H&K.

I wouldn't have put the front sight on the slide nose/barrel bushing but Pachmayr did on the Signature so maybe it works better than I think.

Hey, a real full house Pachmayr Signature would be worth having. Or was it you that came up with one of their super special long barrelled versions?

How about a Sokolovsky Automaster?

Looking at a list of distant relatives of 1911, you NEED an Obregon.

The first thing I notice about the gun is there is no ejection port relief on the gunbroker gun, but there is a right handed relief on the gun in the videos. Gun shooting in the video also appears to eject brass to the right.

I am thinking the gun on gunbroker ejects straight up and back just looking at it. Maybe this is a earlier model or dealer sample?:dunno:

Very interesting.

I thought you were talking about some kind of AR-15. Possibly a Colt that I had never heard of.

Congrats man.
Give Bac time!! He will find one!!

I am still waiting for him to post a few pics of the Glock 7, I just know he has!!

:tongueout:
