I am building a 9mm AR pistol using a faxon firearms 8.5" barrel.
Trying to match it with a decent muzzle device that is both effective and to be honest would go under a 9" handguard to look tacticool.
Looking for feedback on these 3 options as well as anything else someone has used effectively. TIA!
In order of preference based on aesthetics, I am considering...

I always make posts like this. You picked some good choices. The Rainier arms looks like it would be effective for reducing recoil and the others with the blast shields added would probably have less effect but look slick under your hand guard.

Hard choice for you but I might pick up that Rainier one for one of my builds. Haha

That’s what I am leaning towards. I figure the recoil from 9mm is already pretty minimal.

I brought my AR9 to a Glock shoot and a friend said that my AR9 had the kick of a 223/556 with the Kak flash can on it. I also put a VG6 Epsilon on my AK and it now feels like a .22. After that I was sold on buying compensators with a purpose.

Its a 9x19 which is blowback. The BCG and heavy buffer is what is generating most of the recoil and movement in the rifle. There is not a ton of gas coming out the end of the barrel like with a high pressure rifle cartridge. Also Faxon used a somewhat of a bastard thread for their 9mm barrel. They used a 1/2-28 which is the thread size for a 5.56 barrel, A lot of 9x19 barrels use 1/2x36 threads so a 5.56 muzzle device won't screw on. Thus the first two choices will not fit your barrel.

If it was me I would throw a 9mm A2 on it and save the money. https://faxonfirearms.com/9mm-a2-flash-hider-1-2x28/
