what options we got for adding a brace to the shockwave?
Pictures if you got em

Can you add a brace? It isn't classified as a handgun and if you screw it up, does it become a SBS or a AOW?

You'll need an adapter, buffer tube, brace and a pistol grip.

Here's the Ergo adapter, it's polymer...

Here's the Mesa Tactical Adapter...

Just an FYI, the Mesa Tactical Adapter is made of aluminum and it costs more. It's what I chose for my Tac14. The chances of me ever needing to go beating on someone with my Tac14 are slim, but should the need arise I wanted the strongest adapter I could get.

On my mossberg 590 shockwave, I went with the mesa tactical hydraulic leo kit. Also, I replaced the stock that came with the kit with the new sb tactical sba3 collapsible pistol brace. No complaints here!

Exactly what I wanted to do should I purchase a Shockwave (although I agree it really doesn't need one) - SBA3 brace and the Mesa Tactical LEO adapter, Handstop and M-lok forend - Pricey though, the Mesa adapter is $90 on its own or a couple hundred with the hydraulic adapter kit, SBA3 brace is $130.

I keep thinking about it and I may just do a Form 1 and put the Magpul SGA on it after the wait ($300 + $90 for stock plus $200 stamp) - the Class III 590A1's are usually over $550 easily before you pay the tax stamp...

So in a way, I'd say either keep it as is or Form 1 - the Magpul stock is the best on the market for the Mossbergs in ergonomics, etc... I'll get one soon and keep it as is till I figure out what I want to do with it, wish they would come out with the Wood furniture like the Tac-14's did recently

Well, I wasn’t super happy with the SB brace.

It uses screws instead of Allen. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying.
The buffer tube threads were super soft and almost cross threaded on me and threw away $160 bucks.

Anyways, it’s on, hopefully it doesn’t fall off.

And no, I didn’t paint the gun.

Haven't really kept up with the arm braces. So, this is legal on the Remington, for the same reason the Shockwave type grip is legal? It's not a shotgun or a handgun, but a "firearm", it comes factory installed, and is over 26" total length?

And you can modify an existing Tac 14 or shockwave because an arm brace is NOT a shoulder stock, and the overall length when installed in greater than 14"?

Man, I used to go through these mental gymnastics with RCRA and CERCLA regs when I was dealing with a lot of hazardous waste issues. Never thought it'd come to pass that firearms regulation would be this arcane.

Just for the record, I LIKE this Shockwave/shoulder brace thing. Going to have take a second look at this platform.

Practical question: Can I hunt deer with it? :) I mean, that would REALLY add to the versatility of the thing.

Dude, you don't need a ****in' brace.

My Shockwave is my favorite weapon.
