Retired LEO and was wondering if any here has tried a Mic holster for EDC. Have been on their web sight and like the idea. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What keeps the pistol in place or from sliding down? The cord doesn't do that, does it?I got bored one night and made my own. Works great, I sold almost all of my traditional holsters since. I use paracord just long enough to loop over the gun while the mic is on the gun.
You can adjust the ride height as needed. Higher in higher risk places, lower in places you can't risk being made. Move it from 2-4 o'clock depending if you are seated in a car or not for accessibility. You can chamber a rounder and see if a round is in the chamber with the trigger covered. Easy on/off in the car.
For me, a compact or full sized gun works best. A couple times practicing drawing with a subcompact, the grip slipped under my belt line.
On the positive side of that, since there is no bulk, a compact in the mic feels smaller than a subcompact in a holster.
Im sure it isn't for everyone, but its my daily use "holster"
Ive carried it all day doing physical labor, no problems.
The only negatives are sweat gets on the gun easier than in a traditional holster and the gun gets more fuzz and dust than when in a traditional holster
Edit, what material did you use? Cold you use 1/16" ABS?I got bored one night and made my own. Works great, I sold almost all of my traditional holsters since. I use paracord just long enough to loop over the gun while the mic is on the gun.

Hairdryer.Bumping an old thread.
Does anyone know if someone makes a mic type holster for gen 2 19? The frames are slightly smaller on gen 2’s and my MIC is a bit loose.
I use a heat gun (go slow) to adjust any of my Kydex.Bumping an old thread.
