I preordered a green one at Brownells. Looks like it is going to be a lot of stock for the money. Anyone else waiting to get one? I wish they would have done some MLOK slots but oh well.

That's a great idea, very innovative.

Looks like they took the item down from their site yesterday. I posted the link to RFC as well and there's at least one other person that I know of that was able to order one. Both of our orders was marked "Your order has moved into our shipping department." so hopefully they'll honor the price and order.

Brownells usually takes a few days/weeks longer to put into their system for most new products from what I've seen. The black version was just listed a few days ago on Magpul's site. I don't know how much longer Magpul releases different colors but I would've preferred Gray or FDE over black but at that price, I can live with black or rattle-can it so I jumped on it.

I just received my black stock today. It was easy to install. I was a bit confused with the forend. Apparently, the stock tapered barrel floats in the channel about 1/8" off the stock and a dime sized standoff the barrel sits on. I thought it was fitted. With a bull barrel, you take out the standoff so it sits flush inside the channel. The overall fit and finish is MUCH better than the Ruger stock with everything lining up perfectly. Removing the barrel is easier with the square-ish forend. I like the grip much better too. It feels very comfortable and solid.

I think this is a much better stock than the original in every respect and highly recommended.

BC42, will your rifle fit into the stock/receiver pouch of the factory carry case with the barrel clipped into the storage position on the stock? Just curious...

I had zero desire to have the 10/22 takedown, until I saw the Magpul stock. I immediately started checking local gun forums and found a guy selling an unfired 50th Anniversary 10/22 takedown for $250, so I jumped on it. I really like the green stock so I think I'll holdout. Hopefully it won't be too long.
