Looking for some input on something I noticed on my Mossberg MC2C.
I noticed when shooting it the other day that I was hearing a little bit of something moving around. I figured it was just some play between the slide and frame but it turned out it was the barrel moving forward and backward. This was with a round chambered in the gun and slide locked forward.
I was at my range with the barrel pointed toward the back stop so no one was in danger. I was able to put my finger on the hood of the barrel and move it forward and backward. If I push on the hood with by thumb downward there is no movement, just movement forward toward muzzle end and backward toward rear sight.
Gun shoots great no failures or accuracy issues. Just wondering if this is anything to worry about safety wise?
My perfect Glocks don't do it and neither my S&Ws or Sigs.
Thanks for any input.
