Hey y'all. I'm looking for a gunsmith that really knows his way around an unsporterized 03 Springfield. This rifle has been in a closet for a long time, and although it looks okay, I would have much more piece of mind knowing that it's been over twice. Anyone know of any American service rifle specialists in Arizona? I'd be willing to go to Tuscon, but would rather stay in the Valley.

Medesha firearms does service rifle work, but they don't really specialize in the Springfield. For good rifle action work, I use RoBar. They have tuned several rifles for me and the work has all been perfect.

Call Legendary Guns of the West and see who they recommend. Dave LaRue knows a large number of people that specialize in antique repair and restoration.
