How are the newest lone wolf slides working these days? Is there a preference for durability? There isn't a while lot of reviews as of late.

Thoughts?

Hmmm... the newer ones?

I guess mine are a bit older, but hopefully next week I'll be ordering for a G23.

Love Em. Don't recall if I have actually purchased on new, or they were both used... but I like them alot!

I have a G22 and G27. Love the front press check serrations.

Never had a problem with mine, and that's why I need "Just One More"...

HTH...

A stainless steel slide combined with stainless barrel, your Glock would just about be qualified to spend its life out at sea on a boat in a salty environment, wouldn't it?
Yep, only it would need slightly more care for rust prevention than the tennifer finish.

Judging by the many stainless steel guns I have owned, a stock Glock slide is harder and rusts less. Besides being softer and less durable, stainless rusts.

True that.

Had a stainless slide M&P 9mm that pitted bad. And a S&W 686 that also rusted and pitted.

Been shooting competitively with and carrying Glock's since '94 and have never had any rust or pitting. Slowed down lately, but I used to shoot a lot of IDPA and USPSA all around the country. After the matches (in all weather types) I throw them in the back and make the trip home. Never wipe them down and never had any rust or pitting.

I opened LWD in '98. Honestly, never received a complaint regarding a barrel or slide rusting? I guess this begs the question as to how neglectful you could be to allow it to happen?
If neglectful rust is a real concern you could have LWD apply the Black Stainless or Salt Bath Nitrate coating. Good for an additional 3K+ hrs of salt protection

Not to de-rail the thread, but is there plans in place to make the dual spring system for the G20 G4s without using the conversion adapter?

I've owned stainless S&W revolvers for years, and I've never had a rust or corrosion issue. I do take good care of my guns, and I treat stainless and blued the same.

One advantage of stainless is that scratches and other surface damage can be polished away to restore the finish.

I bought a Lone Wolf stainless slide and stainless barrel to top off a G19 frame that I acquired several years ago. While I haven't fired this hybrid pistol a lot, maybe 500 rounds, it has worked very well.

I agree with others that Glock slides are extremely durable, based on what I've read. My Glocks have never been exposed to rough or other extreme treatment, so the finish hasn't been battle tested.

Any gun that receives proper care shouldn't rust.

You have to like it when the owner of the company chimes in! Thank you sir!

my rail on the slide got slightly dented so that is why I'm looking at another slide. Just thought this may be a good opportunity to make it even more bad ass than it already is. I was bummed that the rail bent though as I was expecting no harm at all. It was my fault and all so that's why i'm going to foot the bill and not try to get glock to replace it. Lesson learned to always be sitting down and cleaning it with a carpet floor in case that ever happened again....

Factory weights first run. LWD Gen4 captured GR feature removable tips so the user will have complete control of spring weight

That would be awesome. I'm having issues getting the spring weight correct to run my gen4 19 suppressed.

Any chance LWD will be doing gen4 slides or should I just break down and run the current slide on my spare gen4 frame?

Run a Gen3 recoil spring system with Gen4 adapter for now. This way you have complete control over the weights. If you require help contact our CS agents. Our Gen4 RSA project is ready to launch with factory weight springs only, however additional weight springs will not surface for a few months.
Unfortunately no effort is being put into redesign of Gen4 slides, we cant make enough Gen3 to fill the current need.
I apologize to the OP, I didnt intend on derailing the subject of stainless slides. I can tell you we have pretty reliable stuff and you will be happy with it. We ran a sale a few weeks back, buy a slide and get a free barrel. I have a feeling we will run a similar sale again. If you are interested in building a top end this may be your chance?

What's the easiest way to find out when you do ?
And do you have a dealer list on your website ? I could not find one
I'm thinking about picking up one of your 19 sized frames and figured by the time pay for the transfer it might be easier to look for a stocking dealer
