Laugo continues to expand their Alien line of pistols. The new Remus was announced today, after being teased over the past week or two.

As with all new Alien models, it starts out with a special edition full kit, with surely a standard model to follow.

The Remus has a shorter barrel and slide, along with a manual safety, which is a first on an Alien. Other than that, the special edition features beautifully swirled carbon fiber grip panels and thumb rest, along with gold accents.

More details here…

I’m personally not in love with the gun, as I prefer full size pistols. However, I will say that everything Laugo does is top notch quality and flawlessly executed.

Ordering for the Remus SE starts next weeks. MSRP $6350

Put me down for.............None.

A new and expensive pistol with proprietary and probably unavailable parts?........ I’m sure it’s nice, though.
Alien has been out over five years, so not really new at this point. I’ve got four of them.

Parts kits for standard and Creator and not terribly expensive.

I don’t really understand the PTR feature. I read the blurb on it five times and I’m still lost as to what it does.
Looks very nice, otherwise.
Allows you to rack the slide from the optic. The optic does not reciprocate during regular cycling or firing

Just saw the Forgotten Weapons video on the Alien, and yes, they're quite innovative. Even before the price tag, not for me-- kinda looks like the Taurus TS9... I'm sure it'll be a fine shooter, though.

The price tag eliminates it as an option for me, even after tehnew wears off and the "standard" kits go into production. But I do like the innovations they have incorporated into their deigns... well all but that goofy looking safety. Only time will tell if they are fluff or not. Wish them the best.

$6k and not suitable for left handers or switch hand shooting. Safety is only on one side. Huge design flaw IMO.
Laugo sells all their Aliens. I don’t think they’re all that concerned. Plenty of ambi guns for lefties.

This is also their first attempt at a manual safety, so it could change if they choose to. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
