I've been trying out EDC of short fixed blades lately and with my large hands, the short exposed handles can be a little hard to pop out of the sheath. I've never been inclined to try out any kind of lanyard but this seemed like the perfect time to give one a try.
The two knives are a Kizer Hare and a budget Watchman W206 that I bought to see if the Wharncliffe shaped blade suits my needs. I tied a Paracord diamond knot on them and dang....big difference. They're not noticeable when carrying the but they give an extra point of purchase when reaching for them that I find helpful. Never thought much of lanyards but in this case, they work like a charm.
I've been belt carrying them. I've always carried a clipped folder but they do tend to wear out a pocket and I'm finding it's nice to have the free space at times. They're also much sturdier and should take a fair amount of abuse. Much more than my folders could take.
