I do love my Tenicor Certum and a couple other quality kydex makers, but if I needed to be certain no matter what my gun ain't leaving my side until I want it to at the slight cost of a wee longer draw time, then It's got to be a Kramer horsehide. The screw close straps assure the holster ain't going nowhere either. And If you don't mind that old familiar creak of quality leather, and lack of optic or wml capability, then the Kramer is hard to beat.

Very nice, I have been a fan of Kramer holsters since the early 90s. My current EDC gun rides in a Kramer horsehide OWB belt scabbard during the Spring, Fall, and Winter months. (Summer is reserved for my Sparks SSII IWB holster.)

I've owned lots of Kramer holsters over the years, always an excellent product.
I am a BIG, BIG fan. (y) (y)

I've also had Kramers since the early 1990's and those were all outstanding. 2 years ago I purchased another horsehide OWB with a magazine holder. The quality of the horsehide has gone down and the fit was loose and was terrible. I sent it back and Kramer did shrink it but its still very loose. It will be the last Kramer holser and mag holder I buy.

Sounds like you got a bad one, it can happen with anything. I ordered a spare Horsehide scabbard for my Glock 26 last year, same great product as the dozens of Kramer holsters that I have owned over the years.

Currently have 4 horsehide scabbards for my Glock 19s - one of which has a thumb snap, and two horsehide scabbards for my 26 (one of which is now in my wife's possession). I had an IWB holster for my 26, but I sold it just after selling my 26 earlier this year. (Only to buy the same 26 back a month later...)

Am thinking of ordering another horsehide scabbard for a 26. What can I say, I like having spares.

I also have an IWB holster for my Gen.2 G19 and a mag pouch made by Kramer. Bought them like 30 years ago but they still remain pretty stiff after all these years.(y) One of my favorite leather holsters along with Milt Sparks Executive Companion, Mitch Rosen 5JR.

Horsehide VS steerhide is a subject much discussed by holster makers and users. Some holster makers won't use horsehide because of claims about low quality horsehide from China flooding the market. I am open-minded on the subject, and use/used both. And for the poster who thinks that 17 weeks is a long wait (and it is, relatively speaking), try 14 months, when ordering a tooled and dyed holster from Mike Barranti! Granted, kind of apples and oranges, but still.
